Wow. Higuain & coentrao for Bale plus cash........must be balls!!!!!. Does anyone here think that Madrid selling hig to le arse is being used against us to try and get Bale. I mean I don't think higuain would want to come to us......or their apparent interest in Paulinho......... seems like they are trying every trick in the book.......or maybe I am imagining things.

I fudging love Gareth Bale and he is the dogs gonads; however30 mil and those two, I would definitely accept that. We'd take on two great players, whom we'd never would have had a chance to sign plus we get cash to spend on another quality player. Bale will definitely, leave us anway, we might as well not pass up on such an opportunity to strengthen the all round squad.

Are you talking about what is being reported in the press? Or are you saying that you know about things that haven't been reported at this point?

Higuain seems to be valued at around £22m

I honestly don't think Coentrao is worth much more than £15m, I know Real paid significantly more for him, but that's just my opinion.

£30m cash on top of that equals a total value of close to £70m. Not enough for my liking.

what im struggling with is that if Cavani is being touted at 50m then how the hell is higuain worth half of that????????? are you telling me that higuain is half the player Cavani is???????? Bale is not worth 85m bit if that's how they want to value him then fair enough.......

either way im just wondering if threatening to sell our main rivals a blockbuster striker is being used as leverage to try and get a deal done for Bale.. what was it fergie said....he wouldn't sell them a virus.......starting to see his way of thinking...

Transfer fees aren't everything.

You have to factor in salary, bonuses, image rights and potential gains from merchandise, sell on value, plus probably a load of other things. Juventus, for example, are paying £10m for Tevez in terms of his fee but that is by no means the total picture.

Real Madrid are actively working on a deal to bring Gareth Bale to the Bernabeu, according to one of Florentino Perez’s trusted aides.

The Madrid president, who yesterday unveiled Carlo Ancelotti as the new manager, was strongly urged by fans attending the press conference to sign the Tottenham winger.

‘Bring Bale, alongside Cristiano [Ronaldo] we will be unstoppable,’ called supporters.

After a knowing smile and nod from Perez, one of his closest advisors turned to the fans and replied: ‘We are on it. The president is excited to bring him [Bale] to Madrid.’

In addition, when new Madrid coach Ancelotti was quizzed about the Welshman, he said: ‘If we can bring him here, it would be very good.

‘This team is very good, but there could be some changes. But it doesn’t need much.’

Reports elsewhere have suggested the Spaniards are prepared to open the bidding at £51million, plus two players – thought to be Fabio Coentrao and Arsenal target Gonzalo Higuain, although Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is still adamant Bale will not be sold.

the scum are getting a mega deal with Higuain.....22 mill for a world class finisher who hasnt even hit his peak yet?:eek:. Only 25, is only going to improve, if he stays there for 6 years they will see the best of him
