Gareth Bale

Re: Gareth Bale

BREAKING: Real Madrid have submitted a cash + Di Maria offer for Tottenham's Gareth Bale, according to Cadena Ser

Re: Gareth Bale

I'm not his biggest fan but I'd take £80m + Di Maria if I am honest. But if it's legit, I don't think the cash would be anywhere near £80m if di Maria is also included.

Re: Gareth Bale

I'm so calm and assured about Bale's situation that I can't be arsed to comment.

Other than to tell you all that I can't be arsed.

Re: Gareth Bale

The paranoia on this forum RE: AVB and Bale has been hilarious today.

We are clearly not selling Bale this summer. Levy and AVB are on the same page. There is no need for one to put pressure on the other. AVB wants to work with Bale, and thinks he will have a better chance of success with Bale here. Levy wants to keep Bale, and has proved with Modric he won't sell just because the media try and engineer a move or even if the player kicks up a massive fuss. Why does anyone think Levy is going to have suddenly changed from the Modric episode? Of course he hasn't.

Levy also made a statement in the programme saying no key players would be sold this summer, before the end of the season. AVB doesn't have an ulterior agenda here. He doesn't need to shift anything. Bale just isn't going this summer. It's that simple.

pretty much agree here. except for the area of AVB declaring time after time that that its up to levy to decide whats going to happen. still say that him seperating the decision from himself and attaching it to other people is deflection

Re: Gareth Bale

I think Bale his handling the situation very well.

I think he knows, like we do, that if a bid is accepted from Spurs he will move. Him coming out with some categorical statement could make him look like a real tit if Real comes in with a bid even Levy thinks is too good to turn down (whatever that is).

Bale seems honest and straightforward with the fans, that's all I ask really. I can take players leaving, but I fudging despise the fake badge kissing, PR-advisory-loyalty, empty promises attitude that so many players at so many clubs seem to display. Most of them would leave as quickly as "I don't give a brick" Ekotto if offered the right money from the right club and many of them already have.

I do believe the players are back in training, Monday 1st June and all I'm saying is I don't really want this saga to be hanging over our preparations for the new season. Surely it can do us no harm if next week we have Bale stating that as far as he is concerned , he is a Tottenham player until told otherwise by his employers.

This will go into hyper once the players are back in training and the manager sits down to give his pre season interviews with the hacks. If things are as definite as you and others here have said and there is no way we're are selling Bale this summer, then the best thing will surely be that, Bale is sat there alongside, AVB at his first pre season interview with the press and this is made clear.

Re: Gareth Bale

Bale will sign a new contract with us soon which will put an end to all the baloney. I feel it in my water.

I hope your right...

In fact if something could happen so we don't have to hear the name real madrid (I Refuse to use capital letters for them now lol) then that would be awesome.....I dunno about Levy but I have had my fill of los Blanco's.

rumours they are going to poach Paulinho....check
Be-littling comments from this supposed great club going on for ever.....check.
Selling a top player to our main rivals.....check
second consecutive summer they will look to screw up our pre-season.....check.

If D Levy REALLY has no intention of selling at any price and if Bale is happy to commit to at least another year with us I see no harm in a public statement from/levy/bale saying that he is staying and that everything is rosy in spurs back garden.

anything just anything so we can face madrid/marc/perez/zidane and flip them the friggin bird.

Re: Gareth Bale

Zidane now officially unveiled as Ancelotti's assistant coach. Wonder if this means he'll step up his tapping up of Bale?
