Cheatski are still scum

Yes, Boehly is beginning to look like an owner who lets it go to his head. He took on the DoF/technical director role initially and I'm not sure he appointed a real DoF before spending a quarter billion. While Tuchel is not their appointment, this seems like panic.
He may but the consortium that funds it has many prominent British football fans.

Potter is too risky. I'd thought he'd go for Jessie Marsch or Jurgen Klinsmann as he seems to want to get more involved than a regular chairman.

Before he got sacked conte fell out with the board cause they bought players he didn't want. They just did the same to tuchel. Can't see him wanting to go back.
Fingers crossed you are right. Going by the way Conte reportedly persuaded Levy to dig deep before agreeing to come to us he'd probably also want certain guarantees about player recruitment before switching across to West London.

But the bottom line is, money talks, and Cheatski seem to have more than enough barrowloads of it to practically guarantee the trophies that Conte hankers after.

They're in talks with potter anyway.

Hate this scumbag club. Just as Brighton looking good too. Tuchel had this coming though. He's been so whiny and lost 3 cup finals.

You're probably right. Seems boehly wanted ronaldo but tuchel said no.
That would have been pretty damn sweet for so many reasons!

Potter would be a fool to turn it down. He's achieved as much as we realistically could with Brighton. Chelsea aren't full of established big headed players like they used to be - there's plenty of youth there who might actually listen and, having played under Tuchel, must be tactically aware.

The one hope is that Potter doesn't hit the ground running and by the time he brings it back, Chelsea are playing for the UEFA places.

As long as Poch doesn't go there...

They will probably go and win the CL again as that’s what usually happens when they sack a manager mid season. Almost doesn’t matter who manages them.

A number of you on here, do make me smile. Conti or Potter? Potter tinkles all over that anti-christ of football Conti. The best English manager by a country mile. Head and shoulders over most managers in league. No money, resources and no forwards over last few years and achieved great outcomes with a team that play great expansive football. Was being groomed by City as a succession plan to PG, yet most are happy to watch and tolerate that boring brick we have to watch under this clown, simply because a win is a win.

Boehly is not messing about. It seems disturbingly like he has a long term plan.

Graham Potter has agreed to become Chelsea’s new head coach. The club were determined to appoint the Brighton & Hove Albion manager after he impressed during a positive meeting on Wednesday and he is set to sign a five-year contract.

Potter has now verbally agreed to replace Thomas Tuchel, the Champions League-winning German who was sacked on Wednesday morning. The appointment of the 47-year-old represents a significant shift of direction by the west London club’s new owners.

Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali, the co-controlling owners of Chelsea, are understood to have been hugely impressed by Potter and believe he fits their long-term vision for the club.
