Last edition was the year before he arrived.
Hmm, looks like they ditched the league cup for his second season.
There was definitely a French League Cup up until recently. Have they cancelled the competition? Just checked and they stopped it in 2020.Pretty sure they only have one domestic cup competition and they had been knocked out prior to his appointment in his first half season.
Which is pretty fudging shocking in a competition that only contains one team.Got it wrong about being knocked out before he was appointed, he won it first season the knocked out in his 2nd season
He could easily put out a team of 11 players in a formation they're familiar with and trained on all season. Davies coming back means you're bringing back experience into the back 4 and you're back to having less of a makeshift set up. He could easily have put out the same players in the following formation:or a genuine attempt to get a team out of 11 players who didn't line up the way he needs them on paper.
I don’t believe that today had anything to do with commitment and conviction on the part of the players. They were trying but they were playing in a system and under instructions that lacked all common sense.I can't comment on the second half or after the second goal, but the first 25 minutes was some of the worst play I'd seen in a while. Id hazard a guess going in at half time Thier commitment and conviction had gone.
The real question is, if the committment and conviction is there then why can't it be there for 90 minutes not just 20 minutes of a second half when the game is all but over?
But That's the nature of cup football. I'm sure if he stayed longer he would have won more. But he won trophies which meant he could. Of course you'll try to spin it differently.Which is pretty fudging shocking in a competition that only contains one team.
It doesn't count as winning if it's yours to start with. But That's the nature of cup football. I'm sure if he stayed longer he would have won more. But he won trophies which meant he could. Of course you'll try to spin it differently.
Hes done. Get Arry in till the end of the season, then get Ariola or Frank.Ange will be sacked this week. To be outplayed by Everton is the final act. I’m not 100% against him but I do know that it’s gone too far for too many. Can’t see how he survives from here.
He would come end of season. What does their ground hold. 12k? He d jump at the chance to come and watch Beyonce etc.Has to be Iraola. But how is he enticed to leave Bournemouth? They have an exciting project underway and a very real chance for European football. Whilst we have, what exactly is that we have again?!

Davies coming back means you're bringing back experience into the back 4 and you're back to having less of a makeshift set up. He could easily have put out the same players in the following formation:
..........................Son
...Maddison........................Kulu
...........Bergvall.............Sarr
..........................Gray
Spence.....Davies....Dragusin....Porro
He could have played Richarlison or Moore from the start and dropped Madds or Kulu into midfield to give it more experience.
He could have played Lankshear or Richarlison to give us more of a focal point up top which his system needs IMO.
The idea he was struggling to get XI players on a pitch in a decent formation is for the birds, I'm sorry.
The formation change was unnecessary and another example of the guy playing an admittedly far from ideal hand badly.
As in, you've got injuries, you've got fatigue, you've got a lot of young players, don't add to the problems. Don't BE the problem.
It's really confusing why he'd choose to do that - it seemed a no brainer to put Gray DM and Davies back in at CB if he was available to start. Minimal disruption to the players and round pegs in round holes
...is the right one a bit 'Pochy' then?!!!!!So is my left arse cheek
Brighton away second-half was a disgrace IMO.Coooooor that's a tough one. There have been so many this season but probably pops it.
1. Palace
2. Ipswich
3. Saudi Sportswashing Machine away
4. Bournemouth away
5. Liverpool home
6. Chelsea home
7. Bournemouth away
8. Everton
9. Brighton away (second half)
The rest games we lost we were meh but it's 12 now in the league. Id say Saudi Sportswashing Machine home we deserved to win, Arsenal at home I can't recall wasn't it a boring game, oh and arsenal away was pretty shocking tbf.
We deserved to lose in all of those listed above because we played like utter utter clams, that's down to Ange's tactics.
Is the fish injured?
(I really want to make a joke about scaling new heights, but I can't think of one)
Brighton away second-half was a disgrace IMO.
That wasn’t tacticalIt was the biggest positive (first half) and biggest negative (second half) of the season. It gave us hope of what could be but then snatched it away. Without that first half I think many more would have turned against Ange before they have done. The dream of what could be that rarely been realised since.
