Maybe the poor form is because we played teams who were better than us in that period.

We have just played and lost to
1. Pool
2. Arsenal
3. Forest
4. Saudi Sportswashing Machine
5. Chelsea
6. Bournemouth
Drew with
9. Fulham
17. Wolves
Beat
20.
Southampton
Id say the only teams that aren't actually better than us in the league are

Leicester
Ipswich
Southampton
Everton

Maybe West Ham.

That might just be our saving grace. Although one of those fudges managed to beat us.

So do you think Ange is delivering a performance that is par for the course with the quality of player at his disposal?

They are the only ones who have been available
That’s the issue
Son is brick IMO. Even when well rested because he has poor control and can’t beat a man
Johnson is son on right but with better goal return and also does the thing son doesn’t… attack the post
Neither should be starting together as they are way way too similar but we haven’t had options
At one point we gad Werner injured but in the bench. Moore with the plague. Odebert abs Richy holding hands in hospital. Madness bug typical

Weirdly, where we have rotated the most, midfield, we haven’t had the injury issues … who would have thought it. Although Anges favoured DM has missed games because of bracing charge and 2 concussions now

We sold or let go 13 players who played for Ange last season .. thirteen. Some were filler of course

We brought in 4 plus Yang and now the keeper.

That’s negligence IMO

You say we have 3 FBs, but we actually have 4. One though we are happy to let leave

We have 3 Cbs and a full back who can play there and do well (Davies). That again is a gamble that has massively backfired. That I get because of who we have on loan.

Not getting in a left footed defender is just stupid. It’s how Arsenal targeted us midweek.

So IMO we don’t have the squad fans think. We have been massively hindered by losing certain players and it’s meant we have had to flog to death some of the better ones that have remained (Porro, Solanke and Kulu for sure, plus some will argue son. Johnson hasn’t missed a game since November 23 I believe…. Not one game)

Even leaving out the much maligned Johnson. Let's look at those mostly available this season:-

Maddison Leicester POS 21-22 extensive PL experience.
Bissouma, Brighton fans POS 20-21 extensive PL experience
Son, top scorer only last season for us. His form this season could be the system played as much as his age.
Solanke, top scorer for Bournemouth last season and former fans Player of the year. England international
Kulu, ex Juventus and champions League experience Sweden International
Porro, seasoned player and Spanish international with Champions League experience.
Dragusin, Romanian international ex Juventus - decent player
Spence, and- decent player
Reguillon ex Real Madrid and been on loan with Man Utd, temperamental but a decent player.

That's before you factor in the youngsters. That's the core of a pretty good squad of players available to the manager made up of experienced PL players and international players with experience of playing for big clubs in Europe.

Of the players let go in the summer realistically only Royal might have been in the squad for this season.

But the above players is not imho a team that should be in 15th place in the PL when you compare to our rivals outside of Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and City.

Precisely. And let's face it, Ange's greatest achievement in his managerial career prior to Spurs is managing Celtic. At almost 60. I.e., 6 years off most people's traditional retirement age.

We haven't had a season this s*** in about 20 years. We have a far far far far far far far better squad than at any time in the past we have had such a sh** season.

The person we have in as head coach is basically the equivalent of Barclays going out and hiring a 60 year old as their new CEO whose greatest achievement so far was managing an offshore call-centre for Amigo Loans and some of our fans are the equivalent of an onlooker saying the reason everything is going to sh** at Barclays is everything other than the guy they just appointed: you know, all the staff and structures already there that had consistently had them near the top for years - it's all suddenly their fault, rather than the fact they appointed someone completely inappropriate for the job at hand.

What manager would be doing well with the amount of 1st teamers we have out mate
I blame him for the style of play that has resulted in that many injuries. His lack of rotation and rest has been criminal. Would be beneficial for us to not qualify for next round of Europa.

Honestly if we don't get something from the next 2 league games I would put us as odds on to go down.

Ha ha
Sorry
I just saw you added Reggie in that list.
You are trying promissory the squad depth. I get it. You believe it has depth. I think we’re about 5 players short
We have Solanke out now. We bony have Lankshear who is a CF plus tow wide players who can play there but have never actually been playing there in their careers until recently… make shift is the way I’d describe it although at least Richy has a presence
Son.. top scorer last year. Not the top scorer this year. Didn’t do anything against low blocks last year and we play against those week after week
Maddison is a good player who also played and lead a team that for relegated
Bissouma… ha she very played 40 games a season let alone the 60 we have
Solanke, Porro and Kulu been issues apart form the fact they are knackered and injured now in the case of Dom.
Dragusin has finally completed a whole year here and is still a footballing kid at 22. Yep he okays for his country and actually is very very good for them. He isn’t a bad player but not quite ready for what we need when playing with a CM kid at CB (who has been better than him)
Spence has been massively under used. No excuse for Ange there apart form him picking up the injury the day after his new contract. Another player who none of the recent managers wanted
Of the group you named I’d say that some can play way we need. Some can fill aos as squad players and some just can’t play the role they are asked
They all try and all are fully committed, even Reggie who knows he will be gone asap
But it’s not depth. It actually highlights the issues
And the rivals you refer too haven’t had the collective injury issues and the game every 3 1/2 days.
They are all also having the season of their lives and fair play to them.
Forest are having their best season since 82 I think
Bournemouth … best in their history
Fulham. Not sure but as good as it’s been for them in the prem
Before today Saudi Sportswashing Machine were in a title challenge apparently
This is a tough league that takes no prisoners. You do not get any results if you do not give 100%.

Look I think you are a great poster and Spurs through and through so you must be an ok bloke too. But you're missing my point and obviously doubling down on yours, so actually there's no point taking this discussion any further.

We may not be the finished article by any means but that core squad should not be 15th. I'm not sure Bournemouth would compare more favourably. Bloody hell they are still scoring goals despite losing their top scorer and arguably best player from last season and his replacement this season.

And they had, I believe, 9 squad players unavailable for the Chelsea game midweek.

It can be very difficult to judge a manager’s tenure while they’re still here. Hindsight gives you proper perspective. Under both Jose and Conte, for example, I thought we were becoming challengers as did a lot of fans but looking back now, both were car crashes.

I’m starting to think that when Ange goes, he’ll be the man who made us flakier than ever, who brought us back to midtable and mismanaged the squad on an epic scale.

Well intentioned, a really good guy, great principles but this has the feel of a man whose tenure is only heading one way and the momentum in that direction is increasing.

The core squad shouldn’t be
If it wasn’t the same squad playing every 3 days. We got 5th last year with an inferior squad (higher in quantity)

And they had, I believe, 9 squad players unavailable for the Chelsea game midweek.
Yep
I checked
They had kids on the bench today too
But the guys that played have averaged 17 games this season … that’s a nice number. The golden number I think if true (it was on twitter)
You want your players to be playing 3/4 or the games and spread that out
I don’t know if Ange would rotate like that. I think he has been poor at it form what I’ve seen. But that’s key
When we beat pool the other week they made a lot of subs on 60 mins to keep the legs fresh. Yes we won but still it was 100% what you should do IMO
