Different between doing well and having bottom 3 form

And that ignores some amount of the injuries being self inflicted.

Go back in this thread and I expressed my concern that one of the consequences of keeping Anger in role was going to result in Solanke, Son and Deli being next on the injury list.

I don’t think we will get relegated. We’ll score too many goals to go down. But some people do need a reality check and we’re not as good as they think. All of the results are all down to injuries and nothing to do with the suicidal system we play or the players not being technically good enough. That said, we shouldn’t be anywhere near the drop zone. Feels like we are playing to less than the sum of our parts. As much as I don’t want yet another manager sacked, I can’t help but think another manager would have us higher up the table. It would be Alanis Morissette levels of irony if Levy had patience with the one manager who sent us down whilst sacking managers that finished in the top 5 😂

It's why myself and other are not convinced once we have a fully fit team again (unlikely lol) it's not going to get that much better than midtable
The next argument will be “but all those game weren’t played together. When they play together, we’ll be better.” Aside from the first 10 games last season, when those lads played together, we still struggled. Injuries don’t help but our main issue is system based not personnel based. It’s clear as day at this point IMO.

The irony here being that Alanis Morissette levels of irony aren’t even mildly ironic despite it being a decent tune (sorry mate, couldn’t resist. Your point is actually right).

This is actually answered !

Just checked. Our first choice back five played 8 games together out of 21 we won 4 Lost 3 and drew 1I think we do have cover for one of the fbs in Spence, and now looks like cover for gk but that's it.Our bigger problem is our attackIt is nowhere near good enough

Can’t judge one off games playing together, for example vdv and Romero played a game together both just back from injury in which they both got injured again. They need a run of games together while being match fit to truly judge.

Whether people want to admit it or not or current run of injuries to first team players is unprecedented, in 45 years supporting this club I certainly don’t remember having so many key players out together.

After the initial 10 games last season, they've played 23 games together (including a game v City in the Cup and excluding the Chelsea game as Romero came off after 15 mins). The record:

Played 23
Won 10
Lost 10
Drew 3
Goals against 35
Clean Sheets 3

It's not a great record. These two together aren't the answer to all our problems. It's not a personnel issue, it's a set-up problem IMO.

So after the initial 10 games they played consecutively 23 further games together? I doubt that, sounds more like you are just quoting the total games together not the number after a sequence of say 3/4 games

He didn't say 23 games consecutively

Split it any way you like. The numbers are similar. They had a run last year together and we got whacked at Saudi Sportswashing Machine and Liverpool.

Barring a miraculous second half comeback this has to be it. Not a chance we're getting the 4 points (against two of the worst teams) we need to avoid two additional EL games under his leadership and that will just further kill the squad.

Come on people, time to review your vote to Ange out.
I want to give him time due to injuries, I look at the first goal and think there’s a handball but ok, before 2nd we should have had a penalty and son missed an easy chance however I’m struggling to justify now watching this - no pressure in mid and they are just walking all over us, new manager bounce or not.

The thought of Mason in charge however keeps me on the fence
