Yes so you can't discount him as an option in CF the way you were in the post I responded to.
My issue is just because he can play there it don’t make him a CF. And I don’t think he is bad. His best football for us is playing there
Gray is playing great CB for a CM… he is still a CM
I do appreciate that players can be versatile but IMO versatile players are ones who aren’t good enough to hold down their own position

So we signed him as a CF and he has played his best football for us as a CF but you don't want to call him a CF?

It’s ok to have that every now and then - esleciallly when not in Europe. We’ve had between 9-11 missing for about 2 months. And we’ve played about 8 games more than Bournemouth. It’s Apples and Oranges.
They have played 24 games so far
We have played 21 league games, 1 fa cup game, 4 league cup games and 6 European games

Would be interesting to look at our form last season when we had our rough patch with injuries - considering we had no Europe it might be a better comparison point with Bournemouth

We went as low as 9th I think
And ended 5th as we all know
Match week 20 we were 5th having beat Bournemouth 3-1
The defence was all full backs and we had lo celso in midfield
Match week 22 we played Brentford and won 3-2. We were 4th with 43 points but we did have mostly the full team but we had Skipp and Werner starting

FWIW here’s our form from weeks 11-21 of last season… quite a stark contrast to Bournemouth who are currently enjoying a 10 match unbeaten streak despite their injuries.

Meanwhile this year Liverpool have drawn with MNU, lost to us, beat Accrington Stanley, drew with Forest, drew with Brentford. 3 draws and a loss from 4 proper teams. Very poor. Sack the lot of them. Salah is a spent force. Slot is hopeless. They've thrown the league away again. It's no good Slot crouching down and looking exasperated. Not good enough. Bring back Klopp, those were the glory days.... but then Nunez pokes one in, in the 91st minute.
To be fair pretty much everyone has won more games than us. And I wish I could have that moan sitting top of the table!!

Ha ha
Sorry
I just saw you added Reggie in that list.
You are trying promissory the squad depth. I get it. You believe it has depth. I think we’re about 5 players short
We have Solanke out now. We bony have Lankshear who is a CF plus tow wide players who can play there but have never actually been playing there in their careers until recently… make shift is the way I’d describe it although at least Richy has a presence
Son.. top scorer last year. Not the top scorer this year. Didn’t do anything against low blocks last year and we play against those week after week
Maddison is a good player who also played and lead a team that for relegated
Bissouma… ha she very played 40 games a season let alone the 60 we have
Solanke, Porro and Kulu been issues apart form the fact they are knackered and injured now in the case of Dom.
Dragusin has finally completed a whole year here and is still a footballing kid at 22. Yep he okays for his country and actually is very very good for them. He isn’t a bad player but not quite ready for what we need when playing with a CM kid at CB (who has been better than him)
Spence has been massively under used. No excuse for Ange there apart form him picking up the injury the day after his new contract. Another player who none of the recent managers wanted
Of the group you named I’d say that some can play way we need. Some can fill aos as squad players and some just can’t play the role they are asked
They all try and all are fully committed, even Reggie who knows he will be gone asap
But it’s not depth. It actually highlights the issues
And the rivals you refer too haven’t had the collective injury issues and the game every 3 1/2 days.
They are all also having the season of their lives and fair play to them.
Forest are having their best season since 82 I think
Bournemouth … best in their history
Fulham. Not sure but as good as it’s been for them in the prem
Before today Saudi Sportswashing Machine were in a title challenge apparently
This is a tough league that takes no prisoners. You do not get any results if you do not give 100%.

I stopped reading when it Pedro Porro seasoned Spanish international, with 6 caps.

Look I think you are a great poster and Spurs through and through so you must be an ok bloke too. But you're missing my point and obviously doubling down on yours, so actually there's no point taking this discussion any further.

We may not be the finished article by any means but that core squad should not be 15th. I'm not sure Bournemouth would compare more favourably. Bloody hell they are still scoring goals despite losing their top scorer and arguably best player from last season and his replacement this season.

We lost a generational talent for scoring goals and our return has barely suffered.

What manager would be doing well with the amount of 1st teamers we have out mate

Maybe the injuries are partly down to the style of play or were either overworked or something isn’t right in training. Arsenal used to get loads of hamstring injuries under Wenger. Celtic suffered when Ange was there too. Simply too many (2 seasons running) for it to be just bad luck.

Different between doing well and having bottom 3 form

And that ignores some amount of the injuries being self inflicted.

Go back in this thread and I expressed my concern that one of the consequences of keeping Anger in role was going to result in Solanke, Son and Deli being next on the injury list.
