Will Lankshear

Shouldn't have gone Championship. Look at Donley and Abbott. Look at Scarlett. Ffs, it's about the right fit, not the biggest club to come calling.
Exactly

Delap had championship loans then had to drop down to league 1 before going back to the championship.

A wasted season for Lankshear, Ange under used him after getting in a sulk at him being sent off.

Then a stupid loan instead of actually getting game time.

Yeah because obviously Spurs knew WBA were going to loan an other striker on deadline day, wouldn't be great if we all had foresight or esp like the experts on the internet

TBH I didn't even know about the other striker. Historically, our loans to Championship sides generally haven't worked out, as the clubs are less likely to take the risk/less likely to have technically poorer players. The loans are for the physical experience, rather than the level of football IMO. If our players don't play, it's a waste of time, especially regarding the players path of development.

See how he gets on. If he shows his much higher calibre in training, he'll hopefully get the starting bearth. McAtee saw off lots of journeymen competitors to get his championship minutes.

I would imagine though that the discussion of how the club intend to use your player would be the prime point in the negotiation. You wouldn't just loan a player without knowing how likely they are to play. So there would have been an understanding, so either WBA plans changed or Spurs were aware and satisfied that Lankshear is still in their plan for regular minutes.

We would hope so
