I don't think it's quite that clear cut. Last year Kudus wasn't announced till 10 July, but things were in place enough behind the scenes that he went through West Ham's books for their 2024/25 financial year still.

From what I understand Saudi Sportswashing Machine have more of an issue for the 25-26 season so need to sell by June 30. West Ham have more of an concern for next season 26-27.

So if one of these transfers is going to be resolved it’s Tonali.

I very much doubt Spurs would have dropped the Kinsky new contract story if there was a story as big as Tonali joining. It wouldn't be fair to the young keeper.

what a bad year for a squad overhaul - Emirates Marketing Project, man u, chelseal, liverpool and us changing managers and seeking new players. (also great year for arsenal to stumble into winning the league). transfer fee inflation for sure.

i know we have money to blow, but I wish we would not join in the bidding wars, because it feels like its going to bite us sometime down the road. yes invest more but sustainably too.

Just a marketing / comms tactic. Never give your customers 2 of your feel good stories in a single day and then nothing for a week. Space them out to create the buzz.
