Transfer thread

Must be getting him mixed up.with someone, i thought he had a spell at Palace on loan?
Yeah totally different players. Nketiah is a fox in the box, Balaogun is modern complete striker. Was very highly rated as a youngster but Arteta didn't give him any chances, he then forced his way out to get minutes and has been quietly impressively growing since the move.

He screams of WC wonder

Someone is going to be mugged off for him based on a few weeks
He had a strong season at Monaco by all accounts. Still very young and he wouldn’t be the first teenager to struggle in the PL to go on and develop elsewhere before returning.

But I don’t think he’s the game-changer that would push the A*** up a notch. More of a younger Gabriel Jesus…good but not great.

Interesting positioning of Gallagher. I still don't know where he is best utilised. What RDZ did with him at the end of the season playing further forward was pretty effective. I guess he is classed as a double pivot midfielder but do wonder whether RDZ sees him as having good enough ability on the ball there.

It also brings a tear to my eye that half the incoming money is from kids that age that could easily serve a purpose in the future. I hope we don't have to play this card again in the future once we get things going under RDZ. I bet we do though.

Finally, the last list is another sad one. I think you might be a bit premature on a couple of them though. Hall is contracted until 2029 so there is no way we will just release him. He had a good loan and probably has high stock than Donley at this stage would be my guess. My guess is we'll do what we did with a player like Mathew Craig and hold them to an older age than we probably should. Craig was actually club trained this last season in the same way that Max Robson was the year before. Neither named even though they were 22. Just shows how tough football can be right?

I thought about Maddison being in with the midfielders and Gallagher being in with the AM’s.

Hall wasn’t able to start regularly for Notts County so I’m gonna go with best case we get a sell on fee.

I think Matthew Craig stuck around longer due to injury.

Fernandes is only a year older than Bergvall, so its not like we are selling away our future by bringing him in even if its at the expense of Bergvall. Tonali is a bit older but strictly speaking hes taking the space Bissouma had in the squad and Biss is 3 years older.

Sarr might go as well.

ok, kudus to club (if as being reported), we have got Fernandes

- Robertson, JVH, Senesi, Dubravka and extending Porro & Kinsky were all good/really moves but really nothing we haven't done before (yes, not as early or as many)
- Going head to head against United and winning for a player with money is new.

Lets see if Tonali really is next
Disagree with this.

I thought he did start regularly (and played very well) until injured later in the season?

I just dont really rate players from the French League that highly, Edouard scored 1 less than him last season

There are loads of good players in the French league. They also tend to adapt well to premier league football.

Can find examples of both. Yes being Prem proven gives you a better chance of success. But I think being a settled club with a defined style of play helps as well.
