Transfer thread

How long before the club should make it uneasy at the club for those we want to move on? Restriction of minutes/no squad number etc

Seemingly (rumours) the players we want to off load are happy to stay?
Reggie seemed to enjoy last year, getting paid but not registered in the squad, so maybe that's not a big warning to Gil and Solomon

We are trying to get Kolo Muani again supposedly. Didn't Juve want him?
They only had him on loan and have some pieces to move around before they can sign him permanently, I think they need to move Vlahovic to be able to afford Muani. I didn't actually watch him at Juve but I think his spell went well and the numbers look decent (8 goals in 16 games). This is all probably agent tinkering to force Juve to get a move on and sign him.

Yeah apparently Juve only have the finances to take him on loan again. Whereas PSG want to sell him (or loan with obligation)

Could work in our favour, personally haven’t watched him much

He's good. Quick, gets in behind defences. Decent at finishing, but not outstanding. Can play RWF as well. He'd probably start neck-a-neck with Solanke; they are very different styles though, which would be good. I can't think of a better realistic option for us.

How can you tell?

lol - there's this new fangled thing called the tinterweb. You find informative things like this.

Mar 16: 'He has a knee injury and needs to speak with Dr. Cugat. We'll see if it's an operation or not. If he has surgery, he could be out for the entire season. But more tests need to be done, and Cugat will decide. It's clear that things aren't looking good, but since tests are still pending, we'll see.'

7 current injuries hopefully reducing down to just Kulu, Dragu and Gil very soon.

I meant how can you tell if they are contributing approximately the same as they would uninjured.

He's fantastic physically, strong, fast, great touch, good control, not exactly a dribbler but can definitely beat a man with the ball at his feet. Can also genuinely play all across the front line, LWF, RWF and striker.

I'm quite a fan as I said last year, he's a real handful. Him and Solanke would be a really good pair to draw from.

And we know Paratici has tried to sign him 2 or 3 times for us before, going back to his Nantes days

Has Muani said anything about his time at Juve? I wonder if he has already said he wants to stay there or not etc?

Would be an excellent choice though, Completely different from Solanke but I guess that could also be a benefit

I'm guilty as charged of not watching Girona or Leeds last season to be fair.

I've always felt that Gil is talented but have also questioned his best position and his end product. I do see the arguments on his physical build as well. Probably all moot points at this stage with his contract status. I reckon he'll go in January after recovery, if not do a Reggie and sit around until a free agent.

With Solomon I'm less sure about his outcome. I saw a player in a Spurs shirt that did some really good stuff but wasn't always making good decisions in key moments. It made me wonder about the level he could plateau at. With him being closer to full fitness I guess we find out quickly whether he could replicate his Championship form in the PL. My instinct is he'll be sold or loaned nearer the end of the window.

You got all that about solomon from 5 games?

I think he got on well and would be happy to stay. But Juve can't afford his fee and signed Jonathan David on a free instead.
