With his talent he can play a number of roles in many sides. He managed 10 goal contributions in 20 still last season.

I dont buy because his season wasnt like 3 years ago, which was top top top level means he is busted, not at 26.

I think too often people make false links to players who bare no resemblance to the actual player.

Foden with 6 league titles, GHod knows what else is an absolute phenomenal talent.

As I said, he is 26, not dead

I can appreciate all of this.

One thing, which I get is totally hypothetical, but I think might explain some people’s thinking. He’s won it all at Emirates Marketing Project, paid handsomely - is the hunger still there? Would he bust a gut as he would at his boyhood club?

I know we have no way of knowing but it’s the kind of questions I’d hope our recruitment team would be seeking answers to before greenlighting a move.

Maybe just me…

The hunger theory I go for more than busted.
 
Why are you talking about Foden? Are we linked with him? Had an excellent season or two for City, and I think he’s brilliant overall, but went missing pretty much all through last season.

Surely everyone will know about it and he'd fail a medical, shame really good player. Enjoy watching him.

Who can't hold a starting spot in his club team, and got dropped from national team.

I'm not saying the guy is brick, but he isn't the player he was hyped to be 3 years ago, and he has not pushed on.

He got dropped for the national team because he doesn't fit the required speed and physicality standards. Nothing to do with abilities.

Must say I'm surprised that Foden is 26, assumed he was a bit younger - thought he might of kicked on by now. Maybe a change of scenery is what he needs, or maybe he will be more of a first team regular with the new manager there....

I meant more a loan could benefit everyone - we get cover for our long term #10 being out injured, whilst City get a fringe player some minutes to rediscover some form and put himself in the shop window for next summer

Palmer's on a long contract with Chelsea so there's no medical being scheduled any time soon.
They can afford it, but this might be a transfer that really ends up costing them if that rumour is correct.

The ones that have, of which there is a loyal band who go to youth games say he was one of the best they saw coming though. Seems circumstances around his dad's death is only reason this is happening

I'm a regular at academy matches, don't want to plug my own accounts but I have an X page with match reports and player profiles.

With Tynan, I'd love to know what United's scouts are seeing. I've always seen him as a big, boxy winger - low agility, mid-paced - who struggles to create separation. Technically decent, nice feet but lacking big time in terms of vision and execution (crosses, final pass)

Whenever he was trying to leave in 2025, with his reps contacting Arsenal, Chelsea, even Palace, there was no interest in him.

This year he upped his productivity, which generated buzz in the fanbase, but in terms of overall performance he wasn't impressive. Yet suddenly we're getting potentially £8m for him, when he quite literally couldn't give himself away a year earlier?

Strange deal. It'll be interesting to see if United are seeing something other clubs didn't or if they just got sucked into the hype of him scoring a few goals...which we all know at this level happens every season with a few random players (Bradley Fink, for example, was top scorer AND top assister a few seasons ago in the UEFA Youth League. He's currently playing for Wycombe Wanderers)
