Transfer speculation

Steff, that's the second time you've stated that Wimmer is gone in this thread; You didn't reply to my question earlier in this thread, so i'll ask again: why are you so categorically sure Wimmer is going?
Is "your mate" (or yourself) In The Know?

I think he will go out of choice himself
He needs first team football and can go into plenty of sides as a starter

To the day he leaves I'll never understand what happened to Wimmer. He looked like he had a massive future with us, then all of a sudden not used even when there was rotation or injuries. Very weird....

Dier is the bigger talent and got game time ahead of him at a time when Wanyama was preferred in central midfield?

That's my point, last season it would always be Wimmer replacing Verts as he is his natural replacement....

But this season we've rather played Dier. Even if it has meant moving Toby to the left of the CB partnership.

Edit: And this for me is well explained by Dier being rated higher.

Yep

We moved Toby out of positiin and it didn't work well IMO

That period could have made such a difference to the amount of ground we had to make up on Chelsea. We drew 0-0 away at Sunderland, beat Boro, although only 1-0, then lost 2-0 at Anfield. Vertonghen returned for the Stoke game and we haven't looked back.

Gazetta dello Sport think we want £20 million rated Suso from AC Milan (ex-Liverpool), but go on to talk about a new contract and everything becomes obvious.

The agent of Sampdoria striker Patrik Schick is to sit down with club chiefs as interest from other clubs intensifies. Italian football journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Pavel Paska will meet club President Massimo Ferrero to discuss his clients future with news from England that Tottenham Hotspur are ready to make a summer move.

The 21-year-old has a release clause in his current deal of €25M and it’s now understood that Spurs have already agreed to meet this clause. Their North London neighbours Arsenal are also hot in pursuit of a player who has lit up Serie A with some sparkling performances this season.

Ferrero is desperate to keep hold of the youngster for another season at least but Paska is believed to want certain assurances for his player before deciding on his future. Schick himself is happy in Italy and with Juventus and Inter also expressing an interest; he could decide to remain in the peninsula at one of the country’s top clubs.
