FWIW, Poch has been on record talking about looking within for solution's. I think we will lose Edwards if we don't use him this season, so the two factor's combined may actually see us not buying anyone for the AM this summer unless we sell all of GKN, Sissoko and Lamela.

In other news, there are people reporting that we have been in contact with Naby Keita's people. We are one of a number of club's to have done so apparently.

And thats why we are still looking for a player in that role. Neither Lamela nor Winks is that player. That is why I was so keen on Isco in January and would like to see Barkley. However, I think it is all likely to be moot as I expect Barkley to stay at Everton and continue to be their main man.

I don't follow. I was saying that he was an unsuitable reserve for Eriksen because he does not have his vision, range of passing or brain.

I also think that it is far too early to say what Winks can or cannot do.

They both cost peanuts in the modern market. I can't see us making a significant loss on with N'Jie or N'Koudou. I think that they were both low risk punts.

We will fail fast on players now, keep saying it

- My expectation is we will see a fair amount of 3-5 buys a window, with half of them leaving in 12 months, i.e. buy Wanyama, Sissoko, GKN +promote one academy/youth player, 12 months later, keep Wanyama, sell Sissoko & GKN, keep or sell Academy/youth player (this year we keep Winks, last year we got rid of Carroll), rinse and repeat.

No player is going to spend 2-3 years earning salary and not being part of the plans

@ricky2tricky4city not sure re GKN, could easily see him shifted, but it would be likely dependent on who comes in.
