Transfer Rumour Thread

I got the difference from the professionals that they have been interviewing on sky sports etc.

I think the people who said that Fabrice had a heart attack were 'speculating' rather than fact. To the layman Fabrice had a heart attack but to the specialists etc it was a cardiac arrest.

That's how I understand it.

Ok, well if that is the case then in this instance they are not linked.

He really is a little fudging kitten isnt he....

In-demand Lille star Eden Hazard admits he was aware Emirates Marketing Project boss Roberto Mancini was watching him during Sunday's win over Valenciennes.

Hazard is being chased by a host of clubs across Europe, with the Belgian schemer expected to leave Lille in the summer.

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson watched Hazard in action earlier this month, while Spurs chief Harry Redknapp has previously confirmed his interest in the 21-year-old.

However, Emirates Marketing Project are now weighing up a move for Hazard with Mancini an interested observer at the 4-0 success over Valenciennes.

"I was aware that Roberto Mancini was there," Hazard told French TV station Canal+.

"The manager (Rudi Garcia) told me... I wasn't thinking about it. I was trying to play to the best of my abilities.

"We'll see later. I'm concentrating on Lille this season."

Just because there was a semi-rumour or half-quote at some point about Hazard and Spurs, let's not start with the persecution complex. You make it sound like Spurs had first dibs and are now being shafted. You're getting miles ahead of yourself here.

This. In fact everytime I see the thread title I cringe.

Spot on.

Maybe he would still want to come to Spurs if we hadn't bottled a 10 point lead over 4th place away.

Maybe he never wanted to come to Spurs
Maybe he did and still does
Maybe he will just gladly go to the highest bidder

There's little point basing his future on skirt hitching comments to papers.

I could see Emirates Marketing Project buying Hazard just to keep anyone else from having him. Chelsea used to do the same thing, they did it with Wright Phillips

I think we had our big chance back in August. I really thought that may have been one of the reasons we played them in the August friendly.
Could have saved ourselves a few million

I thought the same thing. I figured we were playing them so we could get a closer look at him, what was the point of playing them otherwise? He'll definitely be leading the line for Spain in the Euros unless Villa recovers quickly.

Used us a a bargain chip to triple his salary with some money-laundering tax-releif foundation currently disguised as a football club

Cnut kitten of the highest order and clearly an agent to match

If clubs can be sued for tapping up then players should not be allowed to discuss their transfers openly unless there is less than 6 months left on their current deal

Same here, makes us look like a kid in a sweet shop who can't believe their luck. It was always on the cards that City would join in the hunt for a top player, the title makes a rod for our own backs.

Rule number one - never take the rag's word as gospel

I think we should bid for Rossi. I think we've missed the boat on Llorente unfortunately, especially after his perfromances vs Utd.

Rossi is an amazing striker and considering Villareal's position in the league, financially, and the fact he has been out of the limelight because injury I'd say we might just stand a chance.

Why did we need a reason to play a friendly against them, or anyone? They're just warm up matches to get the players fit for the season. We've played Roma, Torino, Olympiakos, Fiorentina, etc., in recent years, and haven't bought players from them.

as long as he has fully recovered from his injury, yes this is a signing i hope we pursue this summer

I'm not talking about him coming to spurs, I'm talking about him whoring himself to any bit of skirt that will have him.

Speak for yourself.

Some people dont feel inferior to City, or any other clubs fans, and therefore dont give a f#ck what any of them think.

This is a Spurs forum, and its about a player we know for a fact is/was a target (according to Harry), and the article has quotes where the player actually mentions us.

Just because a month later he has mentioned arsenal, and now City it doesnt mean we are small time for discussing his initial comments. If City were always going to swoop in and we never stood a chance, thats the sorry thing about the game today.....nothing to slag Spurs fans off over.

Serious dellusions. Compare our money to city and tell me we aren't small time in monetaty terms, lets face it, we are financially inferior.

Do you seriously think money doesn't come into the equation, and in a big way? if not the entire equation?
