Re: Tim Sherwood - Head Coach

That Blackburn team was not short on strong characters. It cannot have been easy to captain them and I would assume that, if all he had was a big gob someone would have decked him.

I get the impression that Hodgson would have done given half a chance.

Very true, Flowers, Hendry, Gale, Le Saux, Berg, Batty, Newell, Sutton, Shearer were all big characters, although it was't the most amazing side to ever win the league you can certainly see why they did with the characters they had in the squad.

Re: Tim Sherwood - Head Coach

Haha with him wearing our colours again and those mercurial feet dancing we all would have found a way, even those insisting otherwise would have....no doubting that!

As I am sadly aware, nothing makes a hypocrite of someone quicker than football! The amount of times I've suddenly found 'an extra layer of understanding' for someone I hated because they came to us...as you say, I'll bet we're all guilty of it though.

Re: Tim Sherwood - Head Coach

Funny how this is the busiest thread on the forum when nearly y'all are convinced he won't be around next season.

I think Levy will hope attention is deflected elsewhere in the summer i.e. Man U and nobody notices that we haven't appointed anyone. Fat chance of that. Never mind chanting 'where is our manager' at Anfield, on the last day of the season at the Lane the whole ground should be chanting 'who is our manager'.

Re: Tim Sherwood - Head Coach

I'm not pretending that he is easy to get on with but I think that he's more complex than you have given him credit for.

I'm not so sure. His actions and statements all seem to me as if they cone from an "Act first, think later (if at all)" methodology.

But his history and the range of people who have rated him suggest otherwise. I think that he is a talented but flawed individual rather than the loud mouthed thicko that you seem to think that he is.

It's true. Though i'd like to think I'd have maintained some standards if Suarez had played for us and then committed the offences he did.

Hmmmm...so with LVG apparently favourite to take over from Moyes, do we now have to assume that TS will still be in charge next season???

I don't think so, even more important we find someone who can lift the team. With a good manager and kitty at United, Rogers settled at Pool and Martinez doing the job at Everton, we could be in danger of sitting 7th next season.

We could probably do a like a big club and **** up one of competitors by going hard for Martinez at Everton, either way we need someone to help us step up our game against our peers (not just the fodder below us)

you have to laugh.....the football gods open up their bowels and deliver their goods on us yet again!

:ross:

Re: Tim Sherwood - Head Coach

Klopp seems favourite to replace Moyes as the UTD board think that LVG might just **** off a few too many of their senior players, at least that's what the journos say.

Re: Tim Sherwood - Head Coach

No, I don't think Sherwood has done horrifically from a footballing perspective (though he still hasn't done well enough for me to want him here next season based on that).

It is his mouth which really really puts me off him.

Eddie Howe has a nice mouth, clean shaven and very kissable, you just know he flosses.
