Did anyone see on sky sports news earlier that young black lad training with the rest of the squad, it looked a lot like Edwards. I wondered if they had him training with the squad to get experience, it would be a good idea and make him feel a part of the squad. He might not be ready physically for mens football but good to get him training with them.

I am sure that is what was happening with the young centre back at west ham.

How would it affect us if we were relegated, would the players then be up against worse opposition and not develop as quickly. For a club that puts a lot of stock in young players it seems like a little bit of a worry.

Team results are not important, performance of players and their ability to improve their understanding of the game is. Chelsea have regularly won the Youth Cup but the players do not get a chance to play at 1st team level. I've seen many U21 games and some teams still rely on physical strength to win games rather than skill or technique. Most of our young players are far more two footed than many players you see playing in the league.

Tashan Oakley-Boothe has a goal and two assists on his first start for the u18s against Wolves, 3-1 up at half time.

Edit: Finished 7-3.

i had assumed the recent trend of double-barrel surnames was down to split families and children taking both parents names

Just more common these days to take both. Equality of the sexes and all that. Wonder what happens with the next generation.

Probably all just use one letter from each name, one of the youngsters in the warehouse kept telling me he was going back to visit his fam. I actually thought he had a farm or something, turns out they are so lazy they say fam instead of family.

My son who I have worked my arse off to put through private school will get a punch in the face if he ever starts talking like this.
