The transfer thread

What's interesting about both these conversations is the European experience. Kinsky comes in having played every game in EL this season. For him to come to Spurs and not get a UEFA slot isn't on his agenda.

I can also imagine that Werner could come alive in EL. That is where he has made his name in the past.

Some tough calls for Ange to make.
He will be in the EL squad 100%
I suspect there will be some quite brutal calls made on that squad once we’re in knock out stages

He's exactly like Doku. Doku looked amazing in France. Absolutely useless on higher level. This guy is like a carbon copy. Busy, but will be totally ineffective in the premier league.

Sounds too similar in style to Odebert then.

We need someone more like Gapko on the wing, he's starting to look really good. Muani on loan makes sense then look for someone permanent in the summer.

I think Muani loan would be with an obligation to buy. I wanted us to sign him after the World Cup. Thought he looked an exciting talent. I know that it didn’t work out at PSG but I get the feeling that that’s not always a good measurement of a player or manager. If we sign him I think it’s an exciting signing to be making.

I wonder if the plan is maybe to have Muani and Johnson (and Yang) as the direct options on the right, with Odobert and Moore as the indirect options on the left? So the creativity comes from one side and the goals from the other?

I just listened to the pod. Milo was saying you can only make 3 changes from what we've already registered with UEFA.

I'm not sure what you mean by brutal. For me, that would have to be Venom, VDV, Romero, Biss, Bents level omissions to keep them PL focused.

Never seen him. If the part that says "Extremely creative passer, left foot is a wand and has a very good eye for a pass" it's accurate then he's not like Doku. But you've probably actually seen him play...
He's a better passer than Doku yes, and does this 'drive along the box, with reverse pass into the box' quite well, so better than Doku in that respect. Might take the level, but my initial feeling is that in the PL he won't look anywhere near as good as in France.

I thought he looked good as well, I guess PSG will wait a bit and see if they can find someone to buy him or loan with an obligation to buy before letting him leave on loan. Saving a bit on wages doesn't really bother them.

We really need more dribbly creative wingers. Similar to Odobert would be good in my book.

Son will still play quite a lot. Imo an "indirect", dribbly player is more of a priority than a direct option.

Not convinced on Muani, unless it's as a replacement for Richarlison and he would then be happy to move elsewhere. But perhaps my impression of Muani is wrong.

I was thinking more for next season, when Son and Werner are gone, and Odobert and Moore have got some more games under their belts.

I think Muani seems more like peak Son (in style, not level), so I'd see him more as his replacement, just potentially coming a few months early.

Brutal for me is being smart about who we actually keep in
If we think a player may only play 2/3 games in it and we’re serious
We don’t put them in
May mean only one of Biss or bentacur for example
No Richy

As long as it comes with his mrs playing for Spurs women then I'm all over us being one of those PL clubs. Might even get a second St out of me that I dont use.
