The transfer thread

More left footers please
The extra balance it would give us would be massive
Also need to teach Maddison to oaky both sides of the pitch

I wonder if we might overpay massively to get Madueke back, now Neto's taking his starting spot?

Chelsea is funny, hard to tell if we really can do business there

Concern is do we focus on back line or being more creative/clinical
- Backup keeper/LB is a real need, so we spend all our money there or balance?
- DM need is real
- RW need is real

Being bold, I'd say going after Mbeumo or Bowen (either would be expensive) could be a statement move, both fit the profile (work hard, physical, goal threat)

There are couple of top level strikers at "lesser" clubs right now, but suspect we are too far down the list of options for them to even mention

They've got to be club-trained to get in the squad though.

I think £60m on Madueke and Cirkin maybe gives us a good shot at winning the EL?

Club trained? won't Bowen at least be HG?

I think by January, we could potentially still be well placed in 3 cups (or not), 2 good buys could really impact those chances.

Both play on the right and huge issue is on the left at moment
Great players though

Ange talking somewhat openly about January business probably is a sign that we will be attempting some real business come January.

Think the EL should be a fairly solid priority, how to get players into the EL squad being the question. One out for any one in. Loan deals for some of our younger players or re-shuffling who is included and not.

As always if we make moves it should be moves that also make sense longer term for us.

There's no way really to solve the EL issue without buying club trained players. Say replacing Forster with Jordan Archer, and/or Regulion with Cirkin.

Considering we already cant use Spence or Regulion, and we dont really have any deadwood left (bar Regulion, maybe Werner). Yang will be another we cant name either. Possibly recalling Donley would give us another body for the comp?

One in, one out. Some tough decisions as Steff has talked about before. We don't have many "dead wood" players as you say (and that's a good thing), so perhaps sell someone that's good, but not quite good enough.

Won't be easy, but it's a potential solution that the club should consider.
