Unsurprising effective Chelsea win I suppose.

Very strange from the ref to send off Vidic, then give Rafael a yellow. The Rafael tackle was about as clear cut a sending off as there is.

United really losing their cool towards the end is entertaining either way.
 
The Vidic red reminds me of the Nolan red that Michael Oliver gave at Anfield. Challenges that are unlikely to hurt the opponent, but 100% intent to kick the player with 0% intent/chance of getting the ball. In that sense, it is very pure "violence", even if not that violent. I have no problem with reds in both instances.

Rafael's challenge was a horror. He's a horrible little fellow and it should have been straight red.

I can agree with that, but the problem is the complete lack of consistency from the ref(s).
