The "Official" 2013/14 Other teams matches thread

just seen the Torres goal, Hart is getting all the stick but if he's called for that you have to blame the defender 100% imo

No that's fair enough. I'm looking at his performance today. And there have been some good performances in other game this season. Look at what he did for Shurrle's goal today. And when he smashed the bar. He still has some real quality. Very occasionally he reminds us.

Agreed, he ripped Clichy to shreds to set up the first goal and that chance when he hit the cross bar after creating a half yard of space was certainly reminiscent of El Nino. He was certainly a real handful against us and it was a relief when Torres got sent off.

Hopefully it's another false dawn though as I despise Chavski and don't want them to to able to fill the void left by Drogba with El Nino and still have Lukaku waiting in the wings too!

No no no lol. The defender would have no chance of hearing the keeper shouting (who coincidentally didn't shout until Nastasic was just about to head the ball). What was Nastasic supposed to do? If he does nothing then Torres gets the ball and more than likely scores. The header would have reached Hart who should have been standing 10 yards further back.

If he calls for it early he makes the mistake of hesitating and stopping coming out

From the video replays it looks as if he calls for it a second before the defender heads it. I'd blame hart.

Chelsea's starting XI: Schwarzer; Azpilicueta, Cahill, D Luiz, Bertrand; Essien (c), Mikel, De Bruyne, Mata, Willian, Eto'o.

Considering they have made 10 changes tonight, that is still a strong team

Anyone know why Sunderland v Southampton is Nov 6th and not being played this week with the other 7 ties?

We are going to give the game that the people that put the game on Tuesday want," said Mourinho, who won the 2005 and 2007 League Cup during his first spell as Blues boss.

"If they want a big game, we cannot give the big game. If they want the players that were playing [on Sunday], we cannot give them that.

"If they want Arsenal to win a trophy, that's a help, because if they want a big game between two big teams in London, they should put the game on Wednesday and not on Tuesday."

 stfu Jose

Not sure why they couldn't play tonight. Maybe because neither have European commitments?

Chelsea actually are a much stronger side than Arsenal. The first teams are closer but Chelsea still on paper are much stronger for me. Their squad is ridiculous

Jenkinson who said only a few weeks back how he would be Englands RB for years hahahaha

Brilliant neutral unbiased commentary from ex player Alan Smith and self professed fan Martin Tyler !!!! ridiculous, you could hear the disappointment in Tyler's voice when CFC scored..

Chelsea fans actually being quite funny with their chants tonight

The only time I can watch Chelsea and want them to win. They do have some very good players. Mata of course and Willian looks a classy player too
