The "Official" 2013/14 Other teams matches thread

That result will remind Arsenal that they are by no means running away with anything having beaten teams they regularly beat anyway.

They are so much less hateable without Terry and co. This side tonight with the likes of Scwartzer, Essien, Mata, Cahill, etc are a lot more digestable

Feels as if the commentators care more about pronouncing players' names in the most annoying way possible than paying attention to the match. Hearing them say 'Cathorla' makes me physically ill. Thankfully Hernandez doesn't play much for United. The 'Chicharito' thing is pure torture.

This.

Listening to the build-up before the DOrtmund game they were w#nking over Arsenal that much I thought I had read the table wrong and they were 12pts clear at the top not 2.
Tbh we arent playing anything like and we are only 3pts behind them, granted they are playing some decent football but I still dont think they will be near Chelsea come May

If there was absolutely any chance that we could sign Mata, he would be my ideal signing for Spurs

Some papers at the weekend were linking us with a bid in Jan transfer window. Like yourself I think he would be a great signing, but there is 0% chance Chelsea will sell to us

Yep. Impressive. I expect them to win the league to be honest

I said to someone i am watching the game with, just a few seconds before Mata scored, that ' we might as well get knocked out of this cup now as well as everybody else because if this is Chelseas second XI (which it is)then there is only one winner of this competition (imho) even if Moanhino doesn't put any 'first teamers' in '.

I would read almost zero into tonight's game wrt Arsenal in the league. One terrific team beating another terrific team in the 4th-rank competition on a Tuesday night. Meh. No longer term effect I don't think even if both teams were near full strength.

Chelsea are getting into a groove now and I think they'll win the league handily in the end over Arsenal. I honestly think we're fighting the Mancs now. And both have so much quality that they can click at any moment. Worriedness tbh.

Football is always a huge psychological battle. Today would have some impact on Arsenal particularly with their upcoming fixtures. It's a realisation of where they are in the pecking order
