The Goon Thread

he's not the player he was, but don't forget that in germany he always had a decent keeper behind him, much like Vermaelen, when you have a clown in goal behind you its gonna be a struggle

On sale outside the Emirates today, dear oh dear...

I'm not gonna spend a ton of time defending an Arsenal player, but I don't think you get the number of caps for Germany that he has by being pants or terrible.

I'm inclined to agree with you. It's quite clear he isn't quick enough to play in the premier league, but I do think his positional sense is good on the whole, except for the first goal we scored against them at the emirates earlier in the season.

A favour? I suspect Redknapp would be more likely to do the exact opposite.

Really? He's not said anything bad about Levy or Spurs. Even when the press tried to engineer a feud between him and AVB, both managers laughed it off.

Also, scum fans will no doubt be singing songs about him, can't see him wanting to try and please them.

Can anyone see Harry and QPR doing us a favour now that QPR are down?

Putting my cynical hat on? No. He'd love us to finish outside the top 4 and say that wed gone backwards after his time, should have been kept etc etc. Also he hasn't had the ability to get them to win their bread and butter games, so how can he get them to win against a bigger side?

Putting another more deluded hat on..hes want to get accliam in the media for influen cin g the top 4 race and also making Whinger go even more grey. Perhas they'd also want to go down with a bang as it were.

Should not have put ourselves in this position either way; all we had to do was keep a clean sheet away at Wigan; something which almost all the top 7 have done](*,)

There are two way to look at how QPR will play now the pressure is off. They may lack the fight and so go down in the game easy, or now that the immense pressure is off, they may play with more freedom than le Scum and get a shock result. Im not banking on them doing anything, but you never know [-o<

It's amazing how even just posing a question can STILL provoke such hatred for Redknapp

I don't fancy their chances either, but we live in hope. They did beat them last season as well.

I'm not suggesting there's any ill will, necessarily, but I suspect he'd be happier if we weren't to succeed quite so immediately after getting rid of him, much less be wanting to give us a leg-up.

Totally agree. With the pressure off and their fate confirmed, they could go out and put on a show, who knows.

I just think Arsenal still have two more dropped points in them yet. I'm still believing and I still think 10pts from the last 4 games will do it

You never know. I imagine a few of them will have release clauses and don't particularly don't fancy a spell in the championship.
