Yaya toure is a ball playing midfielder to you? he's not in the slightest to me and he does most his good work when more advanced. Barry imo is a defensive midfielder with average ball playing skills and Milner rarely plays (and he isn't one either).

So you concede the point with United then?

You don't think Yaya Toure is a better pass and move player than Sandro, Parker, Livermore and Jenas? I agree that he is better further forward, but that's not really what we're discussing.

In my opinion both Barry and Milner are better on the ball than those 4.

Re: Defoe

Defoe will be allowed to go
Once we get two forwards in
Has two yrs left on deal so last chance to cash in and really does not fit in to AVB system all that well

Player gets almighty hump when not starting so if we can what we need player wise and our value is met on jd which is north of ten by way he can go
Ade still likely to happen,re damao if you think Levys hard to deal with try dealing with international directors player will 100 per cent come and wages not issue but goalposts change daily ad they have on this deal on and off for the last. 18months
As I've said since may our net spend will end up being circa 20- 25 million absolute tops

he won't be sold till our incoming done
Shifting him ain't the issue we have interest it's getting our incoming biz done,Defoe happy to go any prem club where' he's guaranteed start

We get what we need he is off fact!
He wants to play he's like a broken record I'm 29 I need to play,he will be behind ade and whatever other forward we sign so third in line for one forward position and in jan won't be worth what he is now
Player would like to go,we will sell so do maths

Re: Luka

No change re luca,we ain't budging and valuation not met

Re: Enic

Found it interesting that was
Told this week Enic thought they'd be long gone by now with Levys pension all sown up,they never forsaw roman and city happening, thought we would have been established cl club with stadium all sorted long ago ,club has simply not hit the heights to be worth what they needed it to be to get out.

Re: M'Vila

Scum itk think mvilla deal is dead but he's a totally diff player to luca this is a strange one but castles AVB mate so it has legs

i concede the point about united regarding Carrick but i genuinely thought he was injured for a lot of games (and when he did play he wasn't that good).

Your point about yaya i don't agree with though. we're not talking about who's a better pass and move player we're talking about what team play with a designated playmaker in the centre and city do not. They play with a 'playmaker' type further up field but then again so do we with VDV.

If barry is considered a playmaker than sandro should be considered one too (in fact a better one).

Completely disagree! Could not disagree more.

Barry is one of those players that's fashionable to dislike, presumably because of a dreadful game against Germany when injured at the world cup a while back.

He played 34 games last season for the team that won the premier league, playing as a deep lying player for most of it. I think if he had a more fancy sounding name there'd be compilations of his games a la Alonso and Modric but alas his work does go unnoticed most of the time.

It's nothing to do with his name, I agree he's a much better player than most think but still not on Alonso/Modric kind of levels in terms of on ball ability and playmaking.

You're either overrating Barry or seriously underrating Sandro.

He means in a passing sense.

And I'm not saying Barry is as good as Modric or Alonso, I brought those two players up as those who have many youtube compilations showing their talents when they're the kind of players that aren't usually watched ie all eyes on the flashy step over skills as opposed to watching the player who's able to run the game through midfield. As an aside I don't think Modric is in the same league as Alonso passing wise but is better with the ball at his feet in close situations, helped by his low centre of gravity and ability to change direction.

I'm not. I don't want to sound arrogant or condescending of you opinion, but it really is absurd. It's like the time a Utd fan claimed he didn't think Bale had sufficient pace to play as a winger. Barry is a good passer, Sandro's passing game is limited. Just look at the difference in their passing stats. Sandro is their to win the ball and pass it on to other players who are more technically gifted.
