Adebayor will be at WHL on Monday for talks with the club. He will take a pay cut but wants his charity payments covered #thfc

Give him 80kpw and a clause stating that we'll donate 30k to x charity of his choice whenever he scores a goal.

Modric has definitely gone to America anyway

"We need strikers" was all the criteria given. Saha is a striker.

And contrary to your post he certainly is not brick.

Both names mentioned by Sheik would improve on what we currently have - which is hopefully what we'd be aiming to acquire. I doubt we'd be looking for strikers worse that what we have now? :|

You picked on that and wanted to automatically drag into some long-winded discussion about 4-5-1 vs 4-2-4 vs 4-3-2-1 vs 4-4-2 and the benefits of false quarterbacks or something along that tune. Bottom line for me is - any good strikers would do and we are not exactly at the top of the food chain to be picky. The tactical formation would be a resultant of that - not the other way around, imv. Look at Ade - whether he is what we needed tactically at the time has fudge all to do with the fact he is a good striker and was available. Or in the words of Arry - no brainer

Modric has much lighter hair doesnt he?

Those business class seats dont look up to much, bit close together

Absolute rubbish. Yet another example of your MK like tendancies to play the man and not the post. Or at least your idea of the man.

Sheik picked off two players very different to Ade as alternative targets. Two players I like but feel are very different, I wonder why is all. Very simple.

How on earth do you make that conclusion? Could be anyone. First glance I thought it was a chick!

Been sat with a magnifying glass comparing hairlines . That picture of Modric in the resturant during the week actually showed him with similarly long and toned hair.

Remember last August there was the Ade out shopping with BAE one that turned out to be genuine.

Surely we would find out in the next 48 hours anyway

Llorente is never happening, again for various reasons much like a lot of names floating about in this thread. Lewandowski is probably on the cusp of being being possible.

What sort of striker is Lewandowski? The YouTube I viewed just had him banging goals in a predator like fashion, which is good, but how is the rest of his game?

From what I've seen he's fairly strong, tall enough to be a threat in the air, decent link-up play and very good in the box. His main strength is his finishing I think, but he's a pretty good all round player too.

Moyes: Pienaar edging closer to permanent Everton return

David Moyes has revealed he is hopeful of completing a permanent deal to re-sign Steven Pienaar for Everton soon.

The South African left Goodison Park to join Tottenham in January 2011 but failed to settle and returned to Merseyside on loan for the second half of last season.

And after impressing Moyes on his return he is set to complete a move back to Everton for a fee in the region of £5m.

Moyes said: "I think we are much closer to Pienaar and hopefully in time I will have something, but I don't quite have it yet."

That's exactly the same as he said two weeks ago.

"We're keen and I hope in time that we will be able to conclude that deal,"
