"being kept quiet as the club don't want anything scuppered"

Does this really happened? Surely an agent wouldn't be doing his job if a club like Spurs were trying to sign his player, and he wasn't out alerting other teams to the fact that his player is available, to start a bidding war.

Heard on teletext that itll be done today too... But then ive heard that the last week or so
 
You would think these 'ITK' would learn by now, your years they been going on how we will make double and triple signing announcements and not once has it happened lol vertonghen will happen on his own gauranteed
 
@Agent_taco keep saying we have agreed fee and terms for Siem de Jong. Just waiting for him to decide whether he wants the move.

I think it's pretty common knowledge that we're interested in Vertonghen. One fudgewit on a forum claiming a deal is done will make fudge all difference.

Agreed, as is the fact that all that matters is who is lining up for Spurs on the first game of the season. Whatever happens in between doesn't actually gain us any points.
