Dempsey not a Rasiak at least if he is at SPurs lodge. But make no mistake it is a last minute well down the list back-up option. Months of preparation designed to give AVB the best start possible after his disaster at Chelsea has boiled down to tinkling about for whatever we can in the last few hours.

Not replaced the quality that has left and left with players that are also surplus to requirements in Jenas, Huddlestone, Bentley (that based on the clubs actions not my opinion before you jump at me) and the club are lucky I did not include Dawson in that...

I am getting on my knees and praying that

Ade or Defoe do not get injured
Sandro makes centre midfield his own
Sig can play more than the 18 games that he did last season and turn it on game in game out

I would rather have a proper striker than Dempsey but I think we could do a lot worse than Dempsey
