Luuk De Jong.
Tottenham have spoken to his representatives.

Lloris has been sounded out. They WILL sell and have replacement lined up. Price is fair; below ?ú15million. He likes the look of Tottenham but money talks and will demand a decent wage. Money will show you want him.

Remy has gone quiet. It’s him stalling but “where are his options.” still expect him to sign.

Also Jenas suffered setback.

Wigan chairman Dave Whelan has revealed that manager Roberto Martinez has committed his future to Latics.

Martinez has been locked in talks with Liverpool for the past week - but Swansea's Brendan Rodgers is now on course to take charge at Anfield.

Martinez flew into Jersey on Wednesday to hold talks with Whelan and he told Sky Sports that his manager was staying put.

He had also again been linked to the vacancy at Aston Villa, which he turned down last year, but he has no intentions of speaking to anyone else.

Whelan also claimed that Martinez had 'grave reservations' about working under a potential director of football at Liverpool.

Whelan also confirmed that there will be no need to talk terms with Martinez.

"There will be no adjustment to his current deal," Whelan told Sky Sports News.

"He moves into second year of the deal previously agreed."

He also promised that Martinez would be backed in the transfer market insisting that 'at least three or more players' would be brought in.

Think Lambert will go to Villa, leaving Norwich, Swansea and WBA all looking for managers. Could be some surprise appointments given the lack of obvious candidates.

West Brom have held talks with former Schalke and Stuttgart boss Ralf Rangnick as they step up their search to find Roy Hodgson's successor, Press Association Sport understands.

Rangnick, 53, has emerged as the clear favourite to take over from new England head coach Hodgson. But reports that the Baggies have already made a formal offer to Rangnick are premature.

He first met with Albion officials when a guest of the club for the final home Barclays Premier League game of the campaign with Arsenal on May 13. Compensation would not be an issue as Rangnick has been without a club since leaving Schalke eight months ago because of exhaustion.

He nudged ahead of Birmingham boss Chris Hughton after it emerged the npower Championship club were looking for around ?ú2million in compensation.

Blues were also prepared to turn down Albion if they approached asking for permission to speak to Hughton who would then have had to resign to force the issue.

Rangwick had two spells at Schalke, leading them to the semi-finals of the Champions League in 2010-11, in addition to a four year stint at Hoffenheim.

Holy crap. Between yesterday and today I've read the following rumours...

* Bale to Barca
* Modric to Man Utd
* Van der Vaart to Schalke
* King to Reading
* Corluka and Kranjcar to Kiev
* Saha, Gomes, Cudicini and Nelsen released
* Jenas, Bentley, Bassong and Defoe to QPR
* Pienaar to Everton
* Adebayor unaffordable
* Gio and Rose both off to find regular first team football

Are we abandoning the premiership and entering some 5-a-side league I don't know about?

Everyone can see Remy has gone quiet. Hes injured.

And Lloris below 15m? Doubt it, we're talking about the best keeper in the world.

If Lloris cant go to a big club, then he'll stay at Lyon.

Aren't exactly bad news, get rid of some of the deadwood... plus defoe..

Not saying it's ALL bad news, but if even half of that list is true, then it'll leave us pretty threadbare as far as squad depth is concerned.

Also worth pointing out that knowing Spurs luck as we do, it'll be the bits you bolded that won't happen, while the others will.

Watch it again. He can only score when he's in acres of space, whenever there's a defender near him he fudges it up.

wait - was that vid posted seriously?

i thought it was sarcasm!!

he looks shocking in the video

must admit the (few) times ive seen him he hasnt looked anything special at all - and remember Dirk Kuyt and Jan Vennegor of Hessilink ripped a hole in the dutch league!!

Right, is that de Jong starting for Holland tonight then?

If he is, or Rafa is, then i may watch their game against Slovakia.

No VDV, but Afellay starts. He's almost a Spurs player, isn't he? 8-[

Oh, and your first question. That's probably de Jong the thug.
