yep. unless we sign anyone with creativity we wont get top 4 because we will drop points too many points in games when team sit back...modric wasnt creative...we lost too many poinst even with him "ticking things over" but a central midfield encompassing any combination of parker (limited), sandro (off the pace) dembele (good) and livermore (painfully average) wont be good enough.we must have that player who can see a pass

The Dembele signing was great but at the moment we are still short in key areas. The speculation is currently helping to cloud this, but if we don't pull some of the mooted deals off then we will be hard pushed to get 4th.

my opinion, Moutinho in happens if VDV out
can't see us trying to fit Moutinho/Dembele/Sig/VDV into the same midfield that will already include at least Bale/Sandro

Haha he mentions Allen and Henderson and says Mouthino is 'twice the player those names are'. Quite right, and 20-25m is fair value. Issue, as others have mentioned, is how this would work and what it would mean for other areas we need to strengthen.

No idea who this Pedro bloke is but his info is out of date. POTL and Agent ITK confirmed Moutinho was done and dusted ages ago.

Why would that be? Unless AVB wants to change formation from 4-2-3-1 to 4-3-3 (no dedicated AM like VDV).

Could be a financial thing. Also that VDV might not suit AVB's plans, whereas Moutinho certainly does.

This is pretty much bang on. If players that might not fit have to be sold to buy players that will fit, then so be it.


I'd be sad to see VDV go, but I can understand it.

VDV/Moutinho/Dembele/Sig/Sandro/Livermore/Parker/Bale/Lennon, and that doesn't even count Hudd/JJ/Bentley/Townsend/Carroll

Exciting days indeed. If we get in Lloris, Moutinho + a striker, then damn, I think we've made our best transfer window to date. Not really holding my breath though, but I reckon we will see at least one more signing.
