Can anyone tell me why we're signing Dembele? He is a great footballer but a classic late panic-buy. He isn't a CM, he can't play as deep as Modric. He would be a good back-up to Adebayor except he can't score, he would be good in VDV/Sig's position I suppose, but they're 2 of our big players who will command game time.

And how the fudge did those rats sign Sahin? He is miles too good for them, we should have got him. I hate those scouse bastards.

When did you last watch Dembele out of interest?

did you think Van der saar was a great keeper when he was at fulham though, and ti think valdes is massively overrated

He certainly hadn't reached the peak of his career, but his record at Utd is hard to argue with. Valdes isn't the best in the world, but is probably a lot better than Brad is to be honest. Also, he's well suited to La Liga - good shot stopper and good with his feet.

Some of my personal highlights were the Kaka and Falcao stories which were completely made up. The Daily Mail even wrote an article based on my Kaka tweets and the 2 journalists who wrote it were following me. The Falcao story was possibly my favourite. Last night it was trending worldwide for over an hour and for over 3 hours in Spain and in the UK.
Another fascinating thing about my time on twitter was how some top respected journalists believed my rubbish and even used me as a news source.
Whilst I am here I can also point out there is no such thing as an ITK or Agent on twitter, anyone with an IQ in double figures would realise this. @Agent_NCP , @EPL_Source and @Agent_ITK are all just poor versions of myself who would be nothing without begging me for shoutouts. @Backpage is another clown who stole my fake stories everyday and passed them off as their own.
Im not sorry for wasting everybody's time, you should have realised I was a fake when I got all of my stories wrong and deleted countless tweets. I still cant believe that, I, personally have been trending in Manchester, Leeds, Ireland, Nigeria and South Africa. Perhaps I do feel a bit sorry for the guy who got 'Falcao 20' printed on his Chelsea top.
I have really enjoyed my time on twitter, especially winding up Everton and Tottenham fans on a daily basis. You idiots must have realised I was a fake when I linked your team with every player possible in the hope that one move would happen.
My time has now come to and end and I hope to enjoy the last few days of the transfer window without making up rumours myself. Thank you to whoever followed me and retweeted my garbage, it was really appreciated. Goodbye Everyone

More than one way to skin a cat. Where Carrick or Modric would have passed the ball incisively, or taken part in some patient build up to create an opening, a bit of pass and move - Dembele will skip all that and just run 30 yards with the ball through midfield and pass it to an attacker :lol:

Totally different method/style/technique but the end result is still the ball getting forward and the creation of space/opportunities.


EDIT : Also, the idea of Dembele, Bale, Sessegnon and Sigurdsson all running at a defence (with or without the ball) sounds bokers to me in the most brilliant way

but with dembele there how do you skin a cat for a quick transition counter attack? or quick switch to a winger with a bit of space?

Suggest you do your homework on him mate, he has been playing that role since about Christmas time

You clearly haven't watched Dembele enough, there's a video knocking about of him vs Man United, all of his best work comes from deep. Go back a few pages and watch it, he would be perfectly suited to our role IMO.

Everyone still has this perception of him playing behind the striker, Jol changed this before last season I believe and he plays as a deep lying playmaker.

But van der saar was how old when he went to united? 34? 35?...he didnt actually improve. he as a decent - good goal keeper that played with other good players that were organised by a great manager.

playing on a good team did a lot for his reputation...i think man united bought like 2 or 3 keepers before going for him.

He isnt Pirlo but he can pass the ball as well. Getting the ball out wide and forward isnt that big a deal when your full backs push up as much as ours have been as well.

Quick transition counter attack? Get the ball, run through the middle, find a runner - it neednt be over complicated

If you're implying that I don't realise that he has been playing CM at Fulham consistently for ages, I do. Modric was a deep-lying playmaker, he sat back and helped break up opposition attacks through interceptions and sat relatively deep in order to create a bigger gap between our MF and striker to allow the AM more space to operate in. Dembele is not this sort of midfielder, he does more of his work higher up the pitch. I think we might find it irresponsible to play Dembele, VDV/Sig and a DM as a midfield trio.

Hopefully if Ade gets injured we'll see Dembele up front instead of him, he was class there for AZ Alkmaar and he would hopefully score a decent amount if we could put the chances on a plate.

With Sandro/Livermore/Parker in midfield i doubt he'd get that many chances on a plate.

You seem to assume we are setting up like we did last year, if the first two games are anything to go by I think thats not going to be the case

That was not what he was talking about. We need somebody who can circulate, keep and pass the ball with an offensive mind, something Sandro, Livermore and Parker doesn't do. Why Pandy thinks that we can pick and choose amongst players I don't know, but I believe that Demble will be a very sound buy, we need someone who has some creativity, did you not watch the game against WBA?

Because we have no rhythm or creativity from a central area? We have Sig and VDV for the attacking position, a Sandro/Livermore partnership is solid defensively but not much else.
