It's funny how it's all worked out really:lol:. Those are 3 players i reallllyyy wanted here and it seems all 3 will now be spurs players (providing Dembele signs). Saying that, i realllyyy wanted us to sign Samba too:(

I honestly think Levy will go all out for Affelay on loan to save the ££££ for a striker should we need one in January. I think the plan is Dembele and Lloris = Modric money and the cash we have from the other summer sales will be saved for Jan should we need it. Maybe we'll loan a Real Madrid youth striker on loan until Jan or something but can't see more than that tbh.

I think he also provides more natural replacement/cover for Bale and Lennon so that the three of them can rotate. I would much rather take Afellay on loan with an option to buy rather than spend £20m on Willian

Agree with that. Think that Lloris, Dembele and Afellay on on loan is what we'll get by Friday

A 3rd CF would also be nice but dont see us spending £20m + on one and AVB did recently say that another CF was unlikely

with M'Vila not signing, I wonder if Dembele will be the one we'll go for or we'll go with someone else too.

Lloris and Dembele are all but done in my opinion. Willian will depend on the fee and how shrewd Levy wants to be.

Callejon got a fair bit of playing time last year didn't he? Much chance of him coming? Can't see him wanting to. Makes no sense for Real to loan Kaka to United, Chelsea or anyone unless there is an agreement to buy him. Were we not linked to Granero too? Maybe we just get him in too to bolster our midfield options and get rid of others leaving us with Dembele, Sandro, Parker, Granero, Sig to choose from in the midfield trio roles.

I wouldn't rule out the possibility of Sturridge in addition to Dembele and Lloris.

maybe AVB thinks Sandro,Parker,Livermore,Carroll,Dembele is more than capable for the long season ahead in cup and league.

While Ive always maintained we could (and indeed should) go for Moutinho I think the Dembele move puts an end to that.

My guess is the club thought "One Moutinho, or Two players?"

Dembele +1 now. Probably Mvilla or Willian based upon reports

I dont know. I just got a feeling there is still a play for Moutinho to come still. Whether it's necessary or not I don't know. I would personally much prefer a striker or an alternative to Bale and Lennon in the event of an injury, whether that be Willian or Affelay.

to be fair, Lennon's only played a handful (if that?) of games in that position. However, I think wide midfielder in a 4-4-2 probably does suit him better, I'd just want to give him a shot at that position for a month to 6 weeks to see how he does, I think he deserves that at least.

Dembele is very much a CM these days. Would work well off of Parker/Sandro IMO and would link up with Sigurdsson/VDV a lot
