A lot of people are going to be annoyed when it turns out we've signed Fulham's other Moussa Dembele.

If Dembele goes through then it isnt necessary, they occupy the same position. Levy is not the sort to spend £25m+ on an unecessary player.

Particularly when we need another striker, another winger and look like spending £15m on Lloris...

Haha forgot about that. Is he the one that competing in track and field at the olympics too? So many Dutch Moussa Dembele's

With the Demebele move this confuses me, Im not sure I see the point.

That said Dembele hasnt signed yet.

Huge fan of Moutinho, have wanted to sign him all summer.

Also delighted with the approach for Dembele.

Brain hurts.

Yea I'm with you on that, it's just he's the one AVB wants I'm sure. I can see him playing both together with a Sandro or Parker. I think it's excessive.

How i would cream my pants if we got Dembele, Moutinho, Lloris and cover for Lennon/Bale (hopefully Affelay(sp) )

Could well happen if the VDV rumours are true.

Kaka did pick it up with some good performances at the end of last season for Real but it is hard to tell if he's finding his form again or just hit a purple patch. With VDV we know what we get and we know it works for Spurs, so I think it would be an unnecessary gamble. I thought VDV's withdrawal against WBA the other day changed the match for them. He is a key player for us and I hope AVB sees it too.

If Kaka came on loan (with Real paying a portion of his wages) to provide options for Bale and Lennon then that would be interesting. The Spurs marketing people would have a massive bukkake session if he (and they;)) came.

At the moment it seems we want to play a midfield 3 of CM, DM, AM.

CM - Was Modric. Cant imagine us stockpiling Dembele and Moutinho but either would be brilliant

AM - VDV, Sigurdsson

I really cant imagine us going for both players. I would think that (for example) we will line up

........Sandro........Dembele
..................VDV

And should Dembele be unavailable go more defensive with Sandro/Parker or Sandro/Livermore or more attacking with Sandro/Sigurdsson

I think we would have options - more so than in last years midfield 2 with Modric + 1.

Also, financially, it seems we are being very prudent. Ive been arguing all summer we have finite resources, which is why we coudlnt "just give an extra few £m" to get deals done. The same sense applies to getting the bodies in we need. I can well imagine Dembele, Lloris and Affelay (loan to buy) coming in as more likely than Moutinho and ... oh crap how much money do we have left?

That's overkill if true imho.

Moutinho, Dembele, Sandro, Parker, Sigurddson, Vdv, and Livermore competing for 3 spots? we sign Moutinho as well and VDV will def have to leave but then that means we only have Sig who could play the advanced role (Dembele at a push but he's far better playing CM).

We need 1 cm, 1 attacking forard/winger type player and ideally another striker. The striker part won't happen imo but the other 2 will imo. I don't think it will be Willian so that leaves Affelay.

Some might say we're fudged if Dembele gets injured but i'm sure Sigurddson can play that role (obviously in a different way to Demebele but he can certainly play a deper role). This is why i think it's important keeping VDV. If Dembele gets injured we can push back Sig in Dembele's role and play VDV.

Then again maybe AVB is thinking if Dembele gets injured we could play Affelay in the attacking central position, drop sig to cm, and just start lennon on the right which means we can let VDV go. Hmmmm

Really got feeling VDV is going to go this window. And not fair to not give Livermore a mention, in fact I'd take him over Parker anyway as he is the future and more than capable.....

Could be, but I just think Daniel and AVB have something Portuguese up their sleeves. With those purchases you mention added to Siggy, Ade and Vertoghen, have we still spent less than we recouped? I have a gut feeling that Moutinho is being worked on behind the scenes and we'll break our transfer record on him. And I think that signing would catapult us back into the race for 3rd rather than the scramble for 4th.

One is an ACM who can play in the middle - the other one is a deep-lying playmaker and a natural CM.

Not a chance will sign him, imv

Livermore lacks basic football skills and isnt fit to lace the boots of those people you mentioned
