Shame Verratti went to Paris, he plays just like Modric.

I feel Sakho really has halted in development. Maybe pressure of bursting into the scene so young, captaining PSG so young got to him. He looked poor last year and missed out on the Euro 2012 squad when at the beginning of the season he was a certainty. N'Koulou looks good though, Marseille have actually looked really good so far this season, but the only possible place they could go this year was up after a disastrous season last year

Yes but listening to Sakho, he seems like a good lad who will train hard and has his mind set on football. Thats really important. At his age some get their heads turned by money.

Who: The Goat
When: 28th August
Where: SC

We are one of three clubs in for Affelay, all three are of interest to him and we await his decision.

Mandanda has much better distribution, in that department it's like comparing Pepe Reina to Gomes. I think physically Mandanda is better whereas Lloris is better in the air than him, more agile, also younger too.

The main thing is that LLoris never mistakes. Mandanda has done a couple that even Gomes would be proud of.

I have seen Lloris make mistakes, every goalkeeper in the world makes them.

Can't say I've seen much serie b is he good then? Heard he was a ball playing defensive mid?

Every single player in the world does, it's just a lot more noticeable with GKs.

I think he is touted as the next Pirlo and is obviously rated very highly. Never seen him play neither but he has been good on Football Manager for the past 3 years

Exactly. If footballers were perfect, every game would end 0-0 pretty much.

One thing that grinds me with pundits, so obsessed with the mistakes. If nobody did them, nothing would happen. Talk more about whatever the opposition did to force the mistake.

Wonder if I could get an ITK badge citing SSN, NewsNow and Twitter as my 'high level sources'?

Same as me mate. When the mistake is obvious (a slip from a defender, a goalkeepering error) it's talked about, yet if a defender gets past a defender with movement and scores a good goal, the mistake from the defenders isn't called into question.

Got a bad feeling we won't get the business done that we need to. Think we will get Lloris sorted but then we may be stuck with Defoe until Jan, and we just try and low-ball offers for Willian, Leandro and Moutinho and get none of them done. Or we sell Defoe and end up with Kevin Doyle.

thought you said levy was playing it alright. you saying now that levy should up his offer a few million so that we can get the people we need early as we can and settled?

I'm guessing right now we have several bids/enquieries out and are awaiting feedback before narrowing down our list of targets. Just hope we get there in time.

I've only seen him for Paris, he's only titchy but a dynamic little bastard with tons of ability, if PSG hadn't already signed him then he'd be very high up on the list of Luka replacements for me. Oh well.
