Re: 1060 pages and a striker, but 113 pages later no more Modric summer transfer thre

Mate, Lloris seemed to want to leave before the season started, and a professional footballer more than most would know the first 5 games mean brick all for a season.

I understand your point. But once you get going, the season starts, the teams spirit is good in the squad, you win games, suddenly he may think, this is fine, lets wait another year and wait for a bigger club. We'll see. Im just saying what i think. It would have been better to agree a deal 3 weeks ago.

I wonder if we'll reveal a new signing with our new 3rd kit tomorrow. I hope so

Re: 1060 pages and a striker, but 113 pages later no more Modric summer transfer thre

ufortuantely he has zero competion at present. However, you suggested we keep friedl as first chocie even when we have signed Lloris. I am sorry if you didnt like me laughing at that suggestion

I'll be happy for Lloris to come in and be second choice to Friedel, until he knows what the EPL is all about. Young keepers coming in from a different league need time to adapt. De Gea was pretty poor for Utd when he firt came in. I wouldn't want Lloris to start off like that

there's not a chance in hell Lloris will be anything other than 1st choice from the moment he signs (if he signs that is) - Im not attempting to take anything away from Friedel here, he's been nothing short of fantastic for us - just that is how it will be, we aren't signing some unheard of youngster here with no experience - this guy is one of the brightest prospects in the game (id say at 25 you can still be considered a prospect in the GK position) - i am actually dumbfounded that we are even in with a chance of bringing him here.

although i can't say that i have personally watched him much you only need a passing interest in football to know that he has been highly regarded for sometime now

Little bit of Spurs news, Lloris will come in once they manage to get Gomes off their books.
Gomes' value drops to zero once Lloris comes in, as other clubs know Spurs need to get rid, and he's the most saleable GK asset.
Cudicini and Friedel couldn't command a transfer fee, so Gomes will go for a few million to whoever is interested, then Lloris will come.

Nah, he works at Gatwick... There's no Burger King at Gatwick.

FYI.......I no longer work on airport, so my info is null and void.

Unlike before when i told you all about Kakas arrival WAY before it happened......................:-k

I would bet that is total an utter fabrication by someone looking for a new angle on Spurs transfer business.
I doubt very very much whether or not we sell Gomes is going make a difference for getting a keeper in.

I would say moving Button on is a better indicator of a deal being struck.

I saw earlier that Cudicini was due a new contract in July 2012 - is that still true?

I'm sure I can still pretend that I knew nothing about the move when it happens in 2014 :D

Hmmmm last time I flew, I went through security on the way out, not the way in...

Maybe he came in, saw there was no Burger King, and went straight back out again?

I'll answer this as I watch regular Ligue 1 football.

I'd take Belhanda from Montpelier as competition for Lennon and Bale. In fact Montpelier have some decent players, Mbiwa is one I've spoke about on here too, but with Vertonghen signing and Kaboul looking to be a top top star, I don't think we should waste Mbiwa's potential. I still think Remy would be a brilliant signing for us and he has already in the past said how he'd like to come to Spurs. Of course I have already spoke of my love for Marvin Martin but he recently signed for Lille. Lloris of course, he's the best goalkeeper in the whole league.

How much better than Mandanda is Lloris?

Sakho from Paris, N'koulou from Marseille, Belhanda from Montpellier but they need to carry on working hard.

I think that Remy, will also turn into a good striker. Needs to sort out injury problems.

Mandanda has much better distribution, in that department it's like comparing Pepe Reina to Gomes. I think physically Mandanda is better whereas Lloris is better in the air than him, more agile, also younger too.

I feel Sakho really has halted in development. Maybe pressure of bursting into the scene so young, captaining PSG so young got to him. He looked poor last year and missed out on the Euro 2012 squad when at the beginning of the season he was a certainty. N'Koulou looks good though, Marseille have actually looked really good so far this season, but the only possible place they could go this year was up after a disastrous season last year
