Re: 1060 pages and a striker, but 113 pages later no more Modric summer transfer thre

It's also highly likely to be a club or two desperate for a new striker by then. Maybe even willing to pay what Levy wants.

Defoe might not be a natural lone striker but we shouldn't discount last seasons goal tally lightly. He's a good Premier League striker who will score wherever he goes, we are not in a position to let one of those go at the moment.

He needs a partner, which means he's fighting with VDV and Sig for a place. Will be a decent impact sub, like Hernandez for ManU.

This guy would be a legend here. So shy in life, but so brave with the gloves on.

Agree 100%. A vital purchase IMHO...

Well, if that's the case - excellent news! Good buy, Levy

Balague: "Spurs offered around £9m for Isco recently, but it was rejected. Malaga feel they don't need to sell anymore."

FC Barcelona have agreements with #LFC, spurs & Schalke on a loan of Ibrahim Afellay .Player will make the final choice.(mundo deportiva)

Afellay to Liverpool. Carrol to Milan. Willian to Spurs. Van der Vaart to Hamburg. All happening tonight according to @agent_153

Football Agent @FootballAgent49: Spurs are back in for Loic Remy after the Damiao deal fell through.

Richard cracknell @crackersTHFC: if we buy Willian, the first spurs fan i see with Will.I.An on the back of his shirt im gonna punch in the gonads

Re: 1060 pages and a striker, but 113 pages later no more Modric summer transfer thre

If i had the choice of Dembele for 15 mil or Modric for 30 mil id pick Dembele everytime. Would be surprised wnd ecstatic if we end up signing him.....

Re: 1060 pages and a striker, but 113 pages later no more Modric summer transfer thre

oh ok then he doesnt ..perhaps I have misinterpreted his request for me to leave as something else.
not sure what explanation is needed or why its so out of order to mock this suggestion. If (as it would appear) you disagree with me how many goals do you want us to concede before we introduce a keeper who will cost us millions?

Being one of the people who is delighted this move will surely happen (yet someone who still respects all that Friedel gave and was) I think you missed the point of PLJ's comment, which was basically, did anyone feel that a baptism of fire + a potential mistake or two could equal a confidence crisis/ruination of a talent? Personally I disagree with PLJ and think Loris will stride right in and be a monster for us, but you would have to accept (given the Gomes story) it is a valid question to pose. BTW, I remain one of the few who believes that Gomes will rise again elsewhere; he was far, far better than people like to remember...

Apparently Yaroshevsky, who is a Russian reporter has said that we have had a bid accepted for Willian

Some random bloke who works at heathrow security just tweeted that moutinho came through.

Proper old school ITK!

yep somewhat feels more reliable than the usual twitter rubbish

Re: 1060 pages and a striker, but 113 pages later no more Modric summer transfer thre

what if Lloris has a dracula complex as well? maybe he isnt used to the physical nature of things over here. we give keepers a decent seeing to in the premiership.

I'm still lost as to what Loris is good at to be honest. but i can understand that you would be wow'ed by his credentials...i do the same things too, but i try not to

in all honesty if we spend millions on a goal keeper chances are that we want that asset to produce. obviously brad is on his way out.....but why are people so sure that lloris is going to be an instant success and that he will be THAT mucb better over brad

he is younger, his reactions to LOW shots are FAR FAR BETTER, he is more dominant in his area PLUS he will share a native tongue with the majority of his defense (Walker speaks Sheffieldease which, i am reliably informed by my french friends, sounds not dissimilar to the patter found in suburb 93!!!!)...as i keep on saying (to no response) this is NOT personal, this is all about age versus body mechanics as much as it is talent. i genuinely believe that if we were to stick with brad for one more full season, we would see his decline happen acutely and to our detriment. this is a very very important signing IMHO and we need to make it.
