If the manager wants the player, who cares? We’ve obviously got it to spend, given both MGW and Eze fell through, so pay it and get the deal done. If City don’t accept then we’ll know and can move on.

Only a week left of the window - there’s no more time to waste. We are light with a CL campaign to deal with.
 
I would give them 24 hours and if no progress, move onto Ademola Lookman - which I am sure will bring howls of disdain...

but... it would be a loan with an option for EUR45M; which is what they wanted from Inter. Lookman has burnt his bridges with Atalanta and they only want a move outside Italy. Pretty confident they will accept those terms... and for Paratici to do his magic.

The guy is experienced, scores goals and provides assists and has cut the mustard in the CL and Seria A.

Definitely agree with setting a deadline, seems to have been going on for ages now. Either they’re prepared to sell or they’re not - we’ve offered a good price so time for city to take it or leave it and we can move on to either lookmsn or elsewhere

Lookman is quality IMO
Dribbly but scores too
HG is a plus

Yeah for sure.

A bit torn on this, I don't want us to just panic and spend way more than we wanted to, but also think he has the talent to be a brilliant player and is a profile we'd really benefit from.

Haven't seen much of Lookman since he left the PL. Isn't he a bit of an "end product merchant"? Gets goals and assists, but his overall game isn't that well rounded, needs to be set up and receive the right service.

Imo we have that player already. But I may be wrong on Lookman
