Politics, politics, politics

That's the point, it wasn't that clear cut.
A 4% swing is such a narrow margin that it allows lots of wiggle room.

As far as MP careers go, most areas were almost 50/50 (even London was only 60/40) and there is a good case that many feel hoodwinked into a leave vote.
A GE with parties clearly stating their intentions to implement/not implement Art 50 is the only way.
Could be interesting as many voted across party lines.
A 4% swing on a 70%+ turnout is well over a million people - that's pretty clear to me.

The implication is gove has stabbed him by throwing his own hat into the ring.
It does look like that and hell mend him. I used to like boris, but he's been a complete taco over this.

Oh i see.
Interestingly, there was an e-mail sent by Gove's wife to Gove (and conveniently cc'd to other people - her paper? Can't remember) where she stated that Gove has more support from Rupert Murdoch and Paul Dacre (owner of the Daily Fail) than Boris because Boris is seen as untrustworthy/loose cannon.
This e-mail was reported as those the plan was still to have Gove supporting Boris...perhaps Gove was given extra support to go it alone...
No matter what is going to happen, these are interesting times Politically everywhere..

Yeah odd that somehow Corbyn has been linked by 'association.' I will not comment about this further, until I have some context. It does seem remarkably convenient for the go push though. Note, I think Corbyn should go.

Just from reading the title of the piece, one would assume that Corbyn himself made the remarks.

Edit: The grammar in the article is atrocious, by the way.

Not just by association, he's the leader of the party, he (according to Ruth Smeeth) was there and he did nothing.

That lack of action shows that he either agrees with such views or is happy to ignore them.

Boris not standing - called it a few days back. He would be on a hiding to nothing. Funny as he promised a lot. Who can deliver? Serious May concerns...

Yes the email makes it all very murky. To me it looked like a shot across boris bows. If gove wasn't getting what he wanted he would scupper it.
Loads of versions flying about and the that has the ring of truth to it is that boris was promising everything to everyone just to win. Once he had won he would have given it the goofy smile and not care a jot

In the end i always thought the fact Boris sways with the wind and is not known as a details man meant it was unlikely he's have got enough support from within the Tories; i always think hos jovial, devil-may-care attitude is more attractive outside the Tory party when it comes to the top job.
They know how much of a turncoat he can be more than anyone.
Oh well, a nice £50 bet won with a friend of mine:p

Boris was promising Gove a "senior" cabinet role in return for his backing, rumours are either Chancellor or more likely, Home Sec.

Gove wanted something absolute and nailed down, not some kind of airy promise as Boris is brick on detail (don't think anyone thought Boris would screw him intentionally but has been known to "double count" on offers from time to time). Boris procrastinated, Gove's wife pushed him into a corner, Boris continued to procrastinate so Gove stood without any pre-warning for Boris. Boris knew nothing of this - apparently spent all night with strategists ready to go.

Without Gove, Boris has no senior MPs backing him and no base to stand on. He wanted to run but Gove pulled the rug out from under.

Sauce: Friend who went to school with Comrade Osborne.
