Politics, politics, politics

I can't share the album, but if you're on Facebook check out a photo album called Worrying Signs by Sarah Child (it may already be on your timeline).

Just in case anyone still wanted to argue why a lot on the Remain side are worried how this vote affects the extremism movement.

It's 115 photos (and counting) of people on social media accounting their experiences of racism and vileness by a number of oxygen thieves that voted Leave, support Farage/Britain First etc. A lot of them abusing black people, Indians etc. You know, those stalwarts of the EU...

Jesus, can't say I'm surprised

it must be said that stuff like this happens every week in this country already

It's important to make the point that even if the Remain vote had won, even if a referendum hadnt have taken place, these people and their views would still have existed and they would have been just as vocal.

These people exist and have always existed. Same in Germany, in France, in Italy, in Poland and in many other places.

I am a British born Indian, 40 years old and have suffered racism on the street, sometimes in work. As a kid I was spat on, had a brick smashed against my head, been beaten up, all because of the colour of my skin. These happened in 80's and early 90's. But I've just got on with it and tried to be friendly and open with everyone because I've always believed that these people are a minority and the majority are good and accepting and take people for who they are on the inside rather than the colour of the skin or what country they are from.

Absolutely. But I don't agree they would have been just as vocal. This referendum makes the scum think they have a majority voice now. I feel sorry for those that voted Leave that are now tarred with their ignorant, single-celled brush.

as a "remainer" I have been repeatedly told to accept the result and get on with it, how do we all do that now that the result has decimated the govt. and the only reasonable opposition whilst the leaders of leave have gone into hiding

nothing is happening and the leaders who campaigned for this are playing hot potato with the responsibility
What are you talking about? Gove, Boris and Farage are just having a weekend off. It only happens to be the most important weekend in decades but whatever.

They may think they have a majority voice but we know they don't. Right now they have the attention on them and they are taking advantage of it. Things will settle down

The majority who voted leave don't have the extreme racist views that these people have. I know plenty of non English who voted leave because they wanted to see immigration reduced to more controlled and manageable levels. Yes the extreme racists have jumped on immigration but they have never needed any excuse to peddle their racist views.

Why are you so worried? You won, congratulations... Go have a beer.

Don't conflate Remain being tinkleed off with the Leave CAMPAIGN with Remain being tinkleed off with Leavers.

Leavers absolutely have their right and it was exercised.

I think the Leave CAMPAIGN was disgraceful. The two main pillars of their campaign, the ones that cut through the noise, are already being backtracked.

That's what a lot of people have an issue with.

Now we have no leader and seemingly no plan.

The decision to change is bigger than the decision to retain the status quo. Therefore the onus on the Leave campaign to have a plan was enormous.

I don't think Leave thought they'd ever win. It was an opportunity for Boris to begin manouevres and run for PM in a couple of years. Now they have won, they don't know what to do.

Not worried in the slightest mate, i am sat here with a beer chuckling at the hysterical rantings of those who have lost a Democratic vote.

Exactly the same where I live, lots of Local Polish voted leave.

I love how people are blaming no leaders and no plan on leave voters rather than the political party that 1 - Gave the vote and 2 - run the country regardless of being in our out the EU.

I didn't think leave would win but it did so what does that mater?

I take no pride in these people and condemn them totally.

I think the important thing and most sensible thing is to take people for exactly who and what they are and not produce blanket statements. Are all English football fans hooligans or Germans Nazis? We managed to separate people with logic years ago so I would urge the same here.

It works both ways as I have seen some pretty condemn able actions from remain.

maybe I'm wrong, maybe Boris and gove are hammering it all out now with a pillow fight

"I'll back you for PM"

"no, I'm backing you for PM"

"you do it"

"no you do it"

Don't forget to add, but you must activate article 50 and ruin your political career.

Whether you were remain or leave everyone has to accept the result and get on with it. We have to go to work, we have to take care of our loved ones, we have to go on with our lives just as we did before the result of the vote

The conservatives have to go through the process of finding a new leader, the Labour party are in a shambles, the Scots want a referendum again, the EU are p!ssed off that they are having to wait for article 50 to be activated. A lot is going on that none of us normal people have control of.

So stop panicking, have a drink of something you like, have a nice meal and just be positive about your own life and circumstances

Question for people who voted remain, respectfully your passion for the remain campaign jumps off the page it really does and I mean that with no dig what so ever.

But can I ask, taking retrospective anger out the equation. Did anyone on here join the campaign proactively, knowing it was such a huge vote and hit the streets to work locally and persuade more people to vote remain or vote at all? Thats a serious question, I mean honestly can you answer yes to the questions of "could I have done more"?

I see there is a spike in applications for Irish passports caused by the brexit vote. Anyone born on the island is entitled to an Irish passport and a lot seem to be exercising that right or at least starting the process. It makes sense for those close to the border if they are travelling back and forth but I'd say the majority are just keeping their options open considering the increasing noise for a vote on unity.

Probably they are angered by the Romanians and Bulgarians coming in and taking their jobs and worried by the prospect of Albanians, Serbs and Turks doing the same once they join the EU;)

Racist feckers:)

What a crazy world
