*too
No, I disagree with referenda generally. It's nigh on impossible for those on either side to fully grasp something this involved and its implications. A one-off referendum is hardly the same as a regular GE.
With regard to the bullet comment, he was so carried away with hubris he forgot the massively relevant, huge news story from the previous week. What a guy.
I don't follow your first comment. Been a long week, admittedly.
Farage isn't a hero...he's just a right wing cnut!

He managed against overwhelming odds to force a referendum so that a nation of people could vote on who governs them. If he were an African in a African country he would be considered a libertian. But as the fat left has always been more about I will defend to the death your right to think what you like.......unless it is a different view to mine.

thats a trend that won't stop, it's far too cost effective
If he did not think about Jo Cox just before he said that, he must be even bigger cnut than even I gave him credit for.
I was just being jovial but that said HSBC's decision will be purely with their profit margins in mind......
To be fair this is a post all joking aside that I get
I think the trap is that people are judging the quality of 17m people on the leave campaign and that is where my lengthy post comes into it because I hand on heart believe a large % were leave, campaign or no campaign. I think in may place, right or wrong, the leave vote was ingrained in people, especially up north since the days of Maggie T (thats a deep theory for another day).
I agree there were people that voted leave without knowing the full facts and now regret, but you are only going to hear about them in this level of decision, I know at least a dozen people who had no view who voted remain and I would hazard a guess the numbers remain vacuumed up from undecided or not bothered was huge.
My reaction of deal with it purely comes from the reaction to the vote, I am not from the land of rubbing peoples nose in it, nor have I seen it, but when socially you read things like "you idiots what have you done" and you hear the press call it "hate over fear" then there is a defense factor aswell.
Personally and seriously I will take a leaf from remain, Great Britain, together we are stronger so lets unite and build a great country. Believe it or not my vote was purely for the future
Cowards way out of a tough decision, just following Pontius Pilate lead
Mate, educate me please if needs be. But what does that have to do with us being with the EU?
I don't believe he misspoke, people like him
don't, it was an trigger comment with one single purpose, to raise the anger level and aggravation between the two sides, we'll see a lot more of this from him, primarily targeting immigrants
The EU has increased the cost of employment.Mate, educate me please if needs be. But what does that have to do with us being with the EU?

Don't think Farage meant it in reference to the shooting personally. He's just stupid and put his foot in it without thinking. Who hasn't done that?
Where is the HSBC news from? Brexiters were so sure this would not occur. Remain voters so sure it was a possibility. If the financial services leave London, it will be a different city. Maybe a better city. But jobs will go, housing prices will decline, and taxation revenue will reduce. Hardly what we were promised from Brexit.
Edit: I think that is old news. Banks will be making contingencies, but not make any public decisions until we see what Brexit looks like.
