I'm not denying he would be successful, but his methods are totally unethical and unnecessary. He has managed some wonderful teams with gifted players and yet the only way he can win is be resorting to anti football scheming. I actually found it funny when Madrid got pumped by Barca because they didn't try to play football, it's when they started attacking and taking the game to Barca that they finally started getting positive results. People think Arry talked too much and belittled people jesus christ, can you imagine what it would be like if that Jose's inflated ego walked through the door?
Everything he does is to further himself and his ego not too disimilar to old Arry. Take this ******** with Mata, are you telling me he can't even find a place for him on the bench? It's laughable. Wouldn't shock me if he's doing it just to prove a point and to make himself the centre of attention as usual.
He's a character and the game needs characters as too many managers give useless, dull soundbites, just don't want him at Spurs.
I can easily see us lose 4-1 or something, just the typical sort of game for it. Chelsea early in the season, early in the day, people have their hopes up - and then Eto'o smacks home two early lucky goals, before Lampard and sideshow Bob adds insult to injury in the second half. I usually feel more confident meeting Le **** at home than Chelski.
Still though, I think we'll win it, 1-0.
COOOOOOOOOOOME OOOOOOOOOOOOOON YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOU SPUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURS!
Can't wait for this. Even did some cleaning around the house in an attempt to make time pass, to no avail, still hours to go...
We need our top players to step up today, prove to us and the world why they are in fact top players. Lloris, Vertonghen, Sandro (if he plays), Paulinho, Eriksen, Lamela, Soldado/Defoe and so on... So many potentially key players for this. Have we ever in the PL history part of our history gone into a game against Chelsea with so many players capable of being the difference makers? I could see MoTM performances from any of those players easily.
Positive, nervous, happy, excited and a smidgeon of fear... COYS!
We all have the same questions..
Townsend or Lamela
Eriksen or Holtby
Chadli or Siggy
Those are the only questions cos the rest of the team picks itself. I can't see Siggy getting dropped after 2 goals against Norwich. Whoever plays against Ashley Cole is in for a tough game so I would play Lamela who is more likely to come inside onto his left foot and Chelsea are weakest through the middle.
Those days are gone my friend, we should no longer have these negative thoughts we're at home, playing well and are a very good side in many ways. Chelsea aren't in form, they don't really have a striker and Mourinho doesn't even know his best side. They'll come and try to stop us today instead of trying to win themselves which is a massive compliment I think.
From training today, Townsend shooting:

Add Sandro or Dembele.
I think Defoe could start today.
