We’re still in this. Sissoko was a game changer but we were toothless up top. Moura faded badly, Alli was poor and Eriksen just couldn’t pick a pass.

Foyth should be our right back for the rest of the season. There are no words to describe Trippier.

People are talking about Ajax like they’re the 1970s Dutch team. They aren’t. They can be got at. Son will help big time.

Well. It is a shame. But still well in this tie.

We looked like being over-run totally early doors, but, if you are going to lose at home in the 1st leg. Then 0-1 it the score. 2-1 win over there wins it. United turned over a worse position in Paris. Definitely have an outside chance.

Hopefully Poch has learned how to nullify their threat and sticks with the formation after Sissoko came on.

Hope Sissoko is fit enough to start in the second leg and Verts is back. Then we can be a bit more solid, Son there to hit them on the counter, we can maybe make a game out of it.

Disappointing overall but difficult circumstances realistically. In the context of the game and how the 1st half went, could have been a lot worse I guess.

We've been frustrating for a couple of months now. But it was a vastly better shape and performance with Sissoko on. Moura is lacking confidence. He uses so much energy falling over, running, and not doing much. Needs to get focused and use the ball well. Alli not much better. Llorente was a focal point, but he's so slow to move sometimes. Trippier - sell him. Sanchez - loan him out. @milo Rose one of the few players to look at the races.

We are lucky to be only 0-1 down, and with that there is all to play for!!!!

They are lucky we were'n't more clinical with our chances too.

The rounds they knocked out Juve and Madrid they played the second leg away and having to win. Let's see how they handle a home game where they have not played as well and knowing they are in front.

We started to get a handle on them second half. All the space was on the wings but Rose and Trippier could not get any decent crossed in.

We needed more balls on the box. Llorente did better seconds half with the ball at his feet.

Sissoko was brilliant. Dele and Trippier were awful. The diamond seemed to help. Foyth looks better than Trippier. Feel like we need another ball player in there.

I'd go:

Hugo
Toby - Sanchez - Jan
Foyth - Sissoko - Eriksen - Rose
Dele - Moura
Son

...for the return leg, provided everyone's fit.

It’s far from over, but we can't afford a single slip up in Amsterdam if we wanna win this.

Son the key for me. And obviously we need to start the game like we did this second half, and build from there. And of course be clinical when we get our chance.

I'm disappointed with the first half, but for most of the second half we were quite good - just not in front of goal. There are enough positives here for me not to give up yet, even if the result wasn't quite what we wished for.
