** OMT - Tottenham Hotspur v Liverpool ** 8.1.25 at 8pm

What I find so funny is that there is so much hating on the players and managers in theses situations.

I would advise people to reserve their angst for the referees who are creating these stupid scenarios.

He’s really not. If he did, he’s a macaron because that would mean he’s accepting he’s going to be sent off. He’s made a desperate lunge and thinks he can get the ball clearly. No way he intended to foul the lad, he just made a bad decision he was lucky to get away with.

I think he took a risk, but was stopping the break whatever, hoping he might get away with it.

I think we are quite lucky that the game is far away and Liverpool have time to fudge the league up or have some issues in games themselves. If it were next week for example then I think it would be too fresh.

Clutching but hope those clams get two footed by someone next week and then they write to the fa to complain and we are forgotten about

I said that yesterday and I agree, but as long as they apply the law evenly it's better.
Now it's out there in the public domain I can see a lot teams taking advantage of it, don't see that law lasting long.

Hard to tell whats cynical and whats now, just kicks the debate down the road, but fair play to Ange for sticking up for what he has been told and fair play to Slot for being honest about the convos had

the referees have to apply the rules, the rules get changes constantly because the fans go apebrick over every perceived injustice

Unlike Redknapp to know fuk all
The thing is, when I read it here from a post before the Sky interview, I thought “that doesn’t sound right” but when you hear Ange speak and say “I’ve been told by officials” anyone with a brain cell would accept he may well be right after all though. Redknapp really is an absolute roosterwomble not to stop and listen to what the man said properly.

Honestly, and I know it's just one game but you get a feel. I remember watching Vic in his first game in Australia and I was stunned to see how poor he was at crosses. Literally the first 45 mins and I was thinking this is a disaster in the making. He is a brilliant shot
stopper. But there are those in league 2. This kid seems to have a aura about him. He exudes confidence. I am already committed to him being our first choice keeper. Personally I would have had our other young lad above Vic. It's nothing against him but he hasn't got the physical presence for the premier league
I bet he would do great in Italy or Spain. But just not here.
Agreed. Also I have no idea what my last sentence means in my post you have replied to.

I have more hope seeing tonight TBH, the kids are maturing, Bergvall looks dreamy and the keeper looks a real find. We have time to heal and repair, no silly line up to get more first teamers injured at Tamworth and some to come in and it looks brighter.

Nice to have a month of optimism on that result, I was not before tonight

It’s a stupid rule, a foul should be a yellow or not but I’d guess cynical means those fouls that Pep has perfected to stop breakaways. Bergvall’s tonight wasn’t that for me. It was just a poor decision with good intentions. He’s a lucky boy though.

I just don't think a ref in the heat has the radar to correctly call cynical or not, because like you say it should just be foul or not. We are complicating it again for sake of it.

And that announcement sh1t..............WTF
