** OMT - Tottenham Hotspur v Liverpool ** 8.1.25 at 8pm

Good interview from Ange on both the second yellow and the second season trophy.

Laughable that Redknapp is saying Ange is wrong when Ange says he’s had it directly from the officials.

And the pundits are just showing they have no idea what cynical means. It was a bad tackle but he’s trying to play the ball clearly. fudge me, the standard of punditry is abysmal.

Which isn't a meaningful advantage in football. If you look at the sprinters on a 100 m, I'm sure some of them are a centimeter or a few milimeters in front of or behind one of the others. No one goes in with a mega zoom VAR check to see that they're all lined up perfectly before they start, because it's meaningless.

yeah they do, false starts are called all the time

it's not about it being a meaningful advantage, what does the law say, thats what matters, in its current form, its simply a measurement, its binary, are they closer to the goal line

Well, speaking of inaccurate - the bricky cameras and camera angles, and the manual lines the VAR room draws - they're certainly not particularly accurate. When exactly did the ball leave the foot of the passer? The gear used to measure these things currently are anything but accurate.

Yeah, we sort of did bring it in, but it can change. If 90% of fans hate the rule, there's has got to be a way to change it.

Anyways, you're right of course. We're probably going to have to live with it for a long time still.
Unfortunately not - that relies on people being balanced and rational. People, however, are idiots.

When I fall in love with football again is when Diaz gets booked for leaving a trailing leg behind and trying to get Bergval the yellow.

That shows where the spirit of the game is in this era. Nobody even mentions what a lack of sportsmanship we see in these moments.

pah, sportsmanship went with professionalism, been like this over half a century

Redknobb being a total pr!ck there. Ange literally telling them what they’ve been told.

And you’re right on cynical. He went for the ball. It wasn’t a pull back or the like.

Would think that was the only incident in the game. Nothing else discussed but that. The cabbage patch kid in between Dawson and Redknapp is like a stuck record.

Bergvall took him out on purpose, it was cynical, and he was absolutely right to nail him.

So sweet that he then scored.

Honestly, I think Vicario is in trouble of losing his place when he gets back fit.

One game so trying not to get carried away but Kinky is class. Great with his feet, calm, composed, confident, good shot stopped. Can come for corners and catches. I love him already.

Two decent keepers is good but can be an issue between the two later on but I need TP for my bunghole.

Honestly, and I know it's just one game but you get a feel. I remember watching Vic in his first game in Australia and I was stunned to see how poor he was at crosses. Literally the first 45 mins and I was thinking this is a disaster in the making. He is a brilliant shot
stopper. But there are those in league 2. This kid seems to have a aura about him. He exudes confidence. I am already committed to him being our first choice keeper. Personally I would have had our other young lad above Vic. It's nothing against him but he hasn't got the physical presence for the premier league
I bet he would do great in Italy or Spain. But just not here.

He’s really not. If he did, he’s a macaron because that would mean he’s accepting he’s going to be sent off. He’s made a desperate lunge and thinks he can get the ball clearly. No way he intended to foul the lad, he just made a bad decision he was lucky to get away with.
