Ah well no doubt they will go up the other end and score now
Our FBs tuck in and the wide players don't support defensively so there pretty much always an overload available if the opposition can hit the sweeping pass accurately. We never ever do anything about it. It's inherent to the setup we use.Our wing backs always have 1-2 opposition players behind them when the other team long crosses the ball.
I've seen it for a while now. You are right. Nothing is ever done about it. Hope strategy. Our FBs tuck in and the wide players don't support defensively so there pretty much always an overload available if the opposition can hit the sweeping pass accurately. Club signings themselves aren't a problem, but you have to have a coach who is willing to work that way. Conte clearly never was so we just wasted a while year of Spence's career and possibly that led into the over long delay in him getting time in Ange's team.
Ain't gonna gift us againOh man. We are gonna regret not getting that one in the net now.
Their first yellow will be 80minOh look, no foul again
I wonder if Ange had heard bad things about Spence. Managers often inherit problem players as deemed by the club and they often just bin them off, it takes a strong personality to decide to work with the player anyway.True, but Ange also had him out at Leeds and Genoa last season.
It was a very interesting start for Ange in the 23/24 pre-season. He dismissed both Spence and Reggie, when some of us would argue they were better full-back bets than Emerson and Davies. Perhaps even more suited.
Glad he got there in the end with Spence though, and generally thinks he's mostly right about Reggie for the long term. He would have been nothing more than a stop gap.
