It's not an Ange philosophy that I can get behind, whilst respecting it. Ange's view seems to be that he shouldn't be asked about referees, he doesn't seem keen on VAR and that things will equal themselves out over time like they did in the old days.

I just don't agree with that concept with this current set of referees. We need the players being more streetwise and we need the manager to be more vocal about the refs. We get walked all over in my opinion.

100%. The refs (maybe subconsciously) will always get dragged along by the media ‘vibe’ and also the fear factor of certain manages.

Only way to stop that is to make throngs uncomfortable for them.
