less frantic attacking football and more disciplined defending. i like this version of angeball.

kudos to ange for getting every player ready for the game. imo special call out to vicario, dragusin, sarr, kulu who were better than their more expensive counterparts, and maddision for the brilliant runs and goals

I still want more defensively, the donkey in Haaland's shirt missed 4 chances the Norwegian would have buried.
 
Really good performance, really disciplined out of possession and great counter football today. I think are a really better on the counter usually. Awesome performance from Kulu, he took hold of that game and said I am HIM. Good performances all round generally but yeah Kulu was my star man. Even playing in his less preferred and less effective wide right role.

This squad is built for quick break counter attack football.
 
It raises a really interesting question re: defence...cheat mode becomes a reliance? I think Dragusin and Davies produced the best CB display this season for us. So many great performances, but I'll say that when Madisson plugs in like that he is superb. First 10 mins he was awful, but great run, great finish and suddenly he's a new man, engaged, focussed...workrate was amaing too. BTW, Deki playing like a boss...

Do we level that at the players only being able to get up for big games ? Think it’s a valid question about mentality. As we can go from superb to pub team and never knowing what we are going to get.

Ummm I don't want to drown on a great day and great overall performance but yeah there deffo was sloppiness especially in the first half when City were getting their chances. As I said they weren't able to finish which kept us in the game rather than the usual us conceding first and having to chase the match.

Overall though a good performance and great result.
