Lovely game.

No doubt it could have gone otherwise had City scored first, or gotten a goal back. Had to ride our luck a little bit, but that's always the case in this kind of game. Really impressive performance all around.

Great to see Maddison back firing again. Much needed. But very good performances all around.
 
I don't what was more pleasing winning 0-4 or reading the postings of all headless chickens on the first 6 or7 pages. Never read so many people impersonating Private Fraser. Excellent performance from all the players and a great day for all our travelling fans, I suspect a few who were at Brighton were still on edge until Pedro popped up.

I thought they were great too.

But still a lot of work to be done, we need to get to the point where we win games irrespective of what the opposition does, not because they make mistakes.

I agree. I think the single biggest element is committment and belief. Once Maddison scored he grew tenfold. But it was his workrate which, for me, was the difference. He worked his absolute gonads off, and he has largely not done that this season. For me, it offers that extra protection. His dropping deeper today was hugely positive too because he was feeling it. I think the key is the players giving that committment and belief every game.

We absolutely could have conceded, yes.
But let's spread some positivity and belief, rather than always cutting ourselves down.

Some of the neg neg neg posts from the usual posters trying to neg me all day every day neg neg neg neg, worse than a nag nag nagging wife.

Yep an other brick performance. It's amazing I'm always reading its results that matter (except when it doesn't). Win, lose or draw we can't please everyone. I've seen plenty of games where we lose but should have scored and didn't that's football. If we had 80% possession, scored 6, had 11 shot on target and won 6-1 we would have people moaning about the goal we let in

I don't think its unreasonable for people to comment on us playing badly when we are playing badly.
