OMT - Tottenham Hotspur FC vs Tamworth FC

He has referred to the clamour for the youth to play in several interviews as far back as last year which continued into this year. So he has certainly shown its something he is aware of even if its only been a media narrative at those times.

There's not need to be silly about it

Back down to planet sensible its clear that Ange is his own man and will do things his way and won't be influenced by anything (no I don't mean glory glory forum FFS)
And he has played the youth when he sees fit and when he thinks they are good enough. Which yes involves doing thing his own way, which I assume is what any decent manager would do. A few on here thinks Lankshear or whoever is ready for more minutes, Ange doesn't - nothing more to it than that, it's not stubbornness or anything....

Anyone know if Werner can make a decent cup of tea? Because that's the only job I'd be giving him between now and the summer, when he hopefully just effs off out the door (if we're lucky, without tripping over anything valuable on the way out).
I wouldn't trust Werner anywhere near hot liquids.
We can put him in charge of ice cream, near the front door. With a little paper hat.

Years ago, there was a goal-sniffer called Gary Lineker. He didn't do much except sniff out goals. And boy, could he sniff out goals.

Eventually he did so well, he got signed by Barcelona, but he fell out with the manager when the manager tried to play him out wide on the touchline; that was not Lineker's game.

Maybe Etch-a-sketch Brennan Johnson is just waiting to burst into "Prime Lineker" because he sure as hell doesn't like being out wide.

Can’t believe some on here are happy with Johnson’s overall play. Especially when Son gets ripped to shreds for his contributions.

Tamworth must have been absolutely gutted to have a Prem referee in charge of their game. They are used to a much higher standard of refereeing in the NL every week. Bankes definitely snatched the chump of the game accolade away from Werner. Just awful.

As for the game, another bad day at the office for Ange and his tactical system. If just didn't work again. As BFS has pointed out a few times, Ange's system without a number 9 is flawed. We saw yet another dysfunctional midfield with Bissouma having to carry the others all game, until Bergval came on. 77% and only 17 shots just shows us the chinks in this system.

Personally, I was a bit worried when Ange said the boys were only going to have one training session on a 3G pitch just before the match. What we saw today was that clearly wasn't enough. They just weren't comfortable in anything they did on that surface.

Anyway, been a successful week in the cups. That's the most important thing I guess.

Best record in Ange's career?
My tupence worth of summing up this game...for what it's worth...lol

Well..........
We have a decent keeper at last!
Kinsky looks brilliant! I hope I'm not being too optimistic looking forward to how well he has played.
He even comes out and actually catches the ball.
Even Llorris didn't do that.

We have a great chance to push on now.
Let's hope we do not go and buy some brick players that will fudge this squad up.
We need class ..and if possible to buy young players to add to a very promising group of young skilfull players.

As far as this game goes Werner should have scored more than once and
seriously dented our performance.
We have to remember Tamworth were not going to roll over that easy.

I do however think we should have played with more urgency together as a team.

best players...
Bissouma was magnificent...he was MOM for us and kept us together...
Kinsky a very close second.

Genius CoySpurs
sorry for being a bit optimistic.....

Evening all. I watched a part of the game in between taking my lads to football games AM & PM so didn’t see it all. Again Werner needs to be dropped I don’t really see what he offers now. I liked the fact Moore started but the lad has been sick so I wasn’t expecting too much. Tamworth were superb and the game played out exactly how I thought. I never expected a 5-0 romp because we aren’t that ruthless right now. So many of our players should have done more, Sarr, Johnson and Maddison from what I observed. Still… on to Villa next round

Maybe that Cruyff fella was onto something… wish that our current crop of wingers would score goals like this!

it was a terrible game - maddison, werner and johnson are so soft in the challenge and so easily put off by a nudge or grab. seemed scared and preferred to play it safe or shoot into the defender

the quality when kulu, son, bergvall and spence arrived was almost tangible - very purposefully seeking opportunities in spaces between the lines and behind the defence

Kulusevski is world class. It's not this match, although you can see it here too. I am happy to see players becoming that at our club. It has been a long time since we developed a normal player into a world class one. Proud to have his picture and signature and that I saw this coming.

How do you know how much the bag needs squeezing if the milk isn’t in to determine colour?

You should have the bag fully extracted regardless and then you use the milk to bring the mug to the desired strength.

What happens if you milk up first but put too much in? Too risky and that's before you even get in to the fact that the tea won't infuse quick enough in milky water

Milk goes in first, so it’s always the right amount.

Not all bags are equal, final colour is my gauge.

All other parameters are set.

Its about the molecular reaction though. You want an emulsion, not a mixture. So the milk has to go first
