OMT - Tottenham Hotspur FC vs Tamworth FC

Bissouma played well. Surprised he started as he run himself into the ground midweek but tbh we needed him.
The same with Solanke , every time we try
We can never ever rest Solanke and win a game without him. That's been proven multiple times this season when he's had to come on to dig us out of the brick.
Even against Tamworth.
Now that's criminal.
We’d have probably been ok with Richarlison. We just don’t have a fit back up. Hopefully in the next couple of weeks that changes - hopefully with a signing.

Years ago, there was a goal-sniffer called Gary Lineker. He didn't do much except sniff out goals. And boy, could he sniff out goals.

Eventually he did so well, he got signed by Barcelona, but he fell out with the manager when the manager tried to play him out wide on the touchline; that was not Lineker's game.

Maybe Etch-a-sketch Brennan Johnson is just waiting to burst into "Prime Lineker" because he sure as hell doesn't like being out wide.

Lineker played in an era of 2 upfront. I doubt he'd get past academy age groups in the modern game of #9s and WFs. Same with Defoe and plenty of others

From The Guardian match report,

"Werner was serenaded with a chant of “sausage jockey” and the odd reference to Germany’s National Socialist government of the 1930s and 1940s. Magic of the cup, pure romance and all that."

Er...

Firstly, I hope they get hammered for them, if PL crowds did that there would rightly be hell to pay. Secondly, pretty sick ofThe Guardian to laugh it off.

Well we can, iMO
We have to play a striker
Werner and son are not strikers but lankshear is
And Ange ball needs someone to occupy the oppo Cbs and keep them “honest”

Yeah I agree but Ange will start or bring on Solanke before Lankshear. He started Lankshear Inna couple of Europa games and he got himself sent off in one of them and Solanke came on every tine.
If he's not going to start Lankshear then it's either Richy ( rarely fit) or buy someone.

I admire your optimism.

Ange has lost it with Lankshear I think
Talk of him now going on loan
He scored in his big overseas start

I think its an Element of him wanting to be seen to be in control and do things when he wants to not when he is told, he was hard nosed about Spence for ages until his hand was forced and now he is showing the decision up because he is now looking our best fullback.

I am reluctant to say anything as I don't know what is happening behind the scenes. I find it hard to believe that Ange would give starts to Moore and yet he would have something against Lankshear. There must be something there. Loan would be good for Lankshear.

Jonathan Liew, so unsurprising really.
To be fair I did like this line:
An extra 30 minutes in their legs: not ideal, but at least the experience of facing a cynical, physical low-block team will stand them in good stead for the north London derby on Wednesday.”

There is something
He doesn’t rate him currently, clearly

There is an element of that with Ange. He seems to always want to give a different answer to the obvious one even on the occasions the obvious one is actually right.

A lot of the time in interviews and press conferences, he comes across as insightful because he’s an intelligent man with a lot of common sense. But sometimes he comes across as an arrogant contrarian.

Who is telling Ange to play Lankshear? Is Ange a member of this forum or something? I don't hear anyone at the ground chanting get Lankshear on. He doesn't have issues playing other young players he believes are ready. It seems if Ange has a different opinion to posters on here about certain players there must be some big drama around why....

He has referred to the clamour for the youth to play in several interviews as far back as last year which continued into this year. So he has certainly shown its something he is aware of even if its only been a media narrative at those times.

There's not need to be silly about it

Back down to planet sensible its clear that Ange is his own man and will do things his way and won't be influenced by anything (no I don't mean glory glory forum FFS)
