OMT - Fulham vs Tottenham Hotspur

I don't disagree but West Ham looked gone a few weeks ago, a goal, win or even a particular moment can turn things around - any spark can bring some confidence back then things look totally different.

Just have to pray something happens against Palace as we won't get anything at Anfield.
Liverpool are quite poor atm. There is hope if you try to forget about our miserable record there.

We really do need to beat Palace though.

Fair points. And you might be right. We simply have to beat Palace. It’s one of our winnable games against a team also in bad form. At home. This is one of the ones Tudor was brought in to get. If he can’t do that, then GHod knows what will happen.

I too liked the idea of Harry as a figurehead. I don’t know that it’s a perfect answer but there are no perfect answers right now.

Crazy to think that the last time we came back from 0-2 down to win an away game in the PL was under Redknapp, over 15 years ago!

I can’t see a world where we don’t go down if I’m honest.

I want to believe, of course I hope more than anything to stay up, but honestly where is the point coming from? We do t look capable of picking up 1 let alone 3.

West Ham and Forest are different to us, they aren’t good but they fight and show guts. We’re utterly abject and appalling across the entire pitch.

This squad is gutless, and anything in it that resembles any level of quality is injured. I’d fancy West Ham to get at least a point at Fulham, maybe all three. I don’t even trust our lot to get anything at Wolves who also show more fight than us. We couldn’t beat them in their really poor period earlier in the season.

I’d love for any one of you to give me something to hope for or believe in, but I honestly think this lot are toast, I currently can’t see us picking up a single further point. I genuinely believe we are currently the worst team in their league.
Ive sadly been of that opinion for ages. A squad chock full of average players, who dont have any fight in them. Not enough quality in midfield and absolutely woeful foreward options. Plus our best two attacking players havent been available all season.
Top that with a manager not up to the job, who we kept on 3 months longer than he shouldve had.
We are no doubt the worse team in the league at this moment.
Our rivals for that 3rd relegation spot are showing they are up for a fight.
Just cant see us picking up wins. We can barely get in the opposition box and we never shoot from distance either.
Its been a train wreck of a season, same as last season except for the superb night in Bilbao.

I don’t think there is defenders to organise TBH
He can start by getting players in positions they are comfortable in

Another inspired managerial appointment by our beloved committee, to bring in a head coach who favours 3 at the back when we haven't even got 3 match fit CBs for him to choose from in the squad!

Hopefully Danso is able to start against Palace, as Dragusin has looked rusty since his lengthy layoff; not that he looked like anything better than a 4th choice emergency backup option in the first place.

I can't see us staying up either, to be honest. Tudor said practically the same things as Conte and when you watch what's going on the pitch, it's hard to disagree. For two years and under three different managers, these players have been losing on a regular basis. Even if some of them are slightly better than what they're showing at the moment, there's no way this is a Top 6 squad.

Not only are we very poor but we're also unlucky. Conceding a goal that early was a disaster. I'd play people who are up for a fight rather than supposed 'quality' at the moment, even if that means giving time to unexperienced players.

Right now, our best chance to stay up is if one of the teams below us hit a run as poor as ours but it's quite clear we're not digging ourselves out of that situation. We need help.

Didn't think we were THAT bad...

They scored early from a situation that imo clearly should have been a free kick, think that impacted the game quite a bit.

We were obviously vulnerable and disjointed. Given that we had 2-3 players playing out of position, no left footer on the left hand side, players who are quite clearly third choice like Dragusin on the pitch vulnerable and disjointed isn't a surprise. We have a very disjointed team of available players.

The other way we did actually create some chances and openings.

We're obviously desperate for a result and we still obviously need to improve our performances. But think we'll see an improvement over the coming weeks. Maybe that's just blind optimism, I don't know. But I think Tudor having had a bit more time and hopefully a couple of players returning will make a difference.

I think we have too many players who currently have the mentality of “if we go down I’ll just go to another club”. I really don’t feel like a majority of our players are actually trying to keep us up - I dont think they care. I certainly haven’t seen any evidence they do.

Yup, without academy graduate and club legend Kane to uphold standards we’re now left with a squad full of journeymen who are accustomed to moving clubs every few years plus many of them know that they’ll be out the door even if we stay up.

So glad I went yesterday, was in the home end as well so I got pay nicely for the privilege rather than the set away ticket price.
To be honest I think I gave up hope when I saw the lineup and noticed Dragusin was starting.

Palace now a huge game.

Prospects x Back ups FC

Who was the last player we bought than the players we currently had in that position?

Lloris?
Maybe Solanke for Richy, but you're probably scraping the bottom of the barrel at that point. Neither are anything special and both flawed just in different ways. You could also possibly argue Udogie who was replacing I don't even remember whom. 😅

If he could go back in time he wouldn't take the job again. He's now realized how bad we are, no balance, little quality and no real fight.
